I feed my cat pretty much whatever she wants, but she isn’t crazy about most people food so she isn’t like, walking all over me to try to get to my plate or anything.

She eats the obvious things, like pretty much any kind of meat. But some of the weird things she likes are crackers (weird), cheese, yogurt (she LOVES yogurt, any flavor), and peanut butter.

@Mrs. Candy Apple:  The ONLY thing I will give my dog, is popcorn…and it’s only because he can literally catch it, no matter how you throw it…so it’s more about watching his ninja like grace as he flies across the living room, over the coffee table like a gazelle, spins completely around, stops on a dime and almost daintily nips it out of the air….this VERY talent of his has gotten us both into a lot of trouble.

Mostly vegetable ends are her treats as she doesnt get dog treats either. Usually

  • mushroom stems,
  • asparagus ends,
  • sweet potato ends,
  • romaine lettuce cores.
  • sometimes peanut butter, but rarely. Too high calorie for her.
  • carrots
  • sugar snap peas/green beans etc.
  • and a shrimp if we are having them for dinner.

never from our plates. Always from our hands in the kitchen or in her dog bowl. I dont want her begging for food. although she knows new people to the house may be fair game and she sometimes will beg from them until we yell at her or they sneak her something.

I try not to eat so much bread, so I usually give her peices of bread or pizza crusts. Also popcorn.

Other then that she doesn’t really eat human food, except for her birthday where she gets a steak & on Thanksgiving where we give her some turkey.

peanut butter

ice cream (we share the same cone ๐Ÿ™‚

cucumber peel (she LOVES it)

the odd nibble of steak

whatever she snaps up when it falls on the floor while cooking, since she’s standing right underneath me the whole time

pumpkin puree (when some other member of the family indulges her in too much people food)

So far the only things that make her sick are pickeral (allergic – broke out in hives) and chicken (gives her the runs)

@Nona99:  Lol…mine too!!  She usually gets 1/2 of the bag.

The other things I will feed my dog/put in her dog bowl is leftover eggs, if there is any.  The skin/tidbits of a rotisserie chicken (I buy them, pull the skin off, and use the meat for salads during the week, etc), and occassionally a small vanilla ice cream in a bowl on the rare evenings we stop for it.  She loves it ๐Ÿ™‚

Our dog never ever got people food when she was a puppy, but now that she’s “just a pet” and not a working girl, we do give her treats.  The vet told us that fresh fruits and veggies were the best for her.  She LOVES fruit, bananas and raspberries are her favorites.  She also knows the word “carrot” and will come running for one.  ๐Ÿ™‚  She gets quite a few other veggies when we’re cooking with them too – I just toss them in her bowl when I’m done with mine.

She doesn’t beg, really.  She will sit and look at you, but if you tell her to go on her bed she will.  She always asks to eat whatever I drop on the floor, so I don’t have to worry about her gobbling up a bar of chocolate or something (unless I didn’t notice and left the room, then it’s all hers).

Our pup has a lot of allergies, so other than her dog food we give her chicken, eggs, greek yogurt and peanut butter. We also give her a lot of canned pumpkin since it calms her stomach when its upset.

Stabucks loves food. She’s my little foodie. She loves all veggies, especially carrots and celery (with peanut butter sometimes). She also eats tofu, edamame, frozen french fries, soy hot dogs, triscuits, popcorn, rice, cereal… Oh, she eats yogurt for breakfast with her daddy every morning. And she loves cheese.

For her birthday, she gets to go out to dinner and have a kids meal followed by her own kid’s cup of ice cream.

Starbuck can eat from a fork and spoon just like a human, so it’s damn cute to give her soup or pasta.

Yeah, we probably need a kid already.

Our ferrets aren’t huge fans of people food, but my ferret used to love cereal. He’d get a piece every time he used his litter box, so he would make sure I saw him. But, he was picky. He would only eat name brand cereal, never the store brand. I have no idea how he became an elitist. I miss the little fuzzy!

My kitten really likes pizza, it’s weird. Anytime anyone is eating pizza he will stare at you and meow very quietly. Ive given him a tiny piece and I think he just likes the sauces, he never eats the bread. Other than that, our dogs get PB, chicken, and some steak when there are left overs. My weenie dog really likes noodles lol

We feed our dogs real food as their meals. Chicken, steamed vegetables, eggs, etc. Our holistic vet recommended we feed them real food because one has bad food allergies and that causes skin rashes, seasonal allergies, and a bunch of other issues for her.
