Songbird. We went on a roadtrip early in our relationship and the only music we had to listen to was a best of Fleetwood Mac album. By the end of our trip that was our song and has been ever since. ๐ We don’t mind dancing but don’t like attention so we did what you’re planning to do – after the first chorus we had our dj invite everyone onto the floor. It was perfect because we got the pictures we wanted and gave everyone the ‘first dance’ they wanted but then had this lovely intimate moment where not all eyes were on us. We had told our close friends and family the plan and to please come straight out when they made that announcement and they didn’t let us down. Plus we moved straight into open dancing afterwards, so when the first fast song started everyone was already on the dance floor – even people who maybe wouldn’t have been otherwise. It was perfect. ๐

We are doing La vie en rose the cover by daniella andrade. we wanted a shorter song for the english first dance. we are also going to do a salsa dance but haven’t picked a song for that yet.
la vie en rose was playing during our third date and it fits with our relationship

curlybee123 : Love your song choice, and your comment about staying true to yourselves!
My fiance and I will be dancing to “Lovesong” by The Cure. We’ve alreadly had friends and family suggest that we do a cover version that sounds more like a wedding song, but that really doesn’t feel like “us”. So I love your message about staying true! ๐

Do most people plan on cutting down their song? I never really thought about t before but is the average 3min song really too long?
