I’ve had buffalo meat, deer meet, squid, haggis and black pudding. Clearly I’m not very adventerous when it comes to food!

@GreenEyedMoon:  At the Royal Bath and West show recently (Somerset, England), they had a tent that was filled with ‘unusual’ food and Springbok was one of the options! I thought it sounded interesting and it was very tasty but it wasn’t a very strong flavour like I thought it would be.

@GreenEyedMoon:  We were at a Peking Duck restaurant in China.  I guess they wanted us to eat all the parts of the duck!  I agree that duck in general isn’t weird . . . we have it pretty regularly.

I recently tried tendon and tripe (stomach lining), both in a bowl of Pho. I wasn’t sure if I liked the texture of tendon (kind of hard to chew?) but I couldn’t stop eating it. Good stuff! A lot of people I know think it’s weird that I eat tongue, oxtail, squid, etc. but those aren’t too odd for me.
