I’m a file clerk here in Houston, TX. I make about 30k. Not too bad for a 22 yr old!

25 years old. Working as an analyst and making about $57K (w/ bonus included).

I then make an additional $14K (give or take) with a work-from-home gig (super easy), so I’m looking at just about $71K annually. I have low debt (relatively, compared to a lot of college grads) and am not paying that much for rent. I feel very lucky.

I live in Colorado and the cost of living is pretty low compared to most places. I am 24 and I make $45,000 per year, with 70 days paid vacation (yep, that’s correct)!!!  I am the Director of Marketing & Student Recruitment for a charter school, so I get the benefits of an Ed calendar.

We are year round, so I do not get 3 months off in a row, but I get 1, 2 and 3 week breaks throughout the year! I think it is definitely a perk 🙂 The vacation time is worth more to me than a higher salary…though I am up for a pay raise next month.

I’m 25 and make $47,000 per year as a 1st grade teacher in the SF Bay Area (which is a pretty pricey place to live!)  FI has been working as a chef making about $60,000, but is trying to find a new part time job so he can finish school faster.  We’re going to be looking at some major changes in our lifestyle to make it work (not like we were living large in the first place haha), but it’ll be worth it!

I am a Total Body Modification practitioner and piano teacher (just getting the TBM off the ground, though). I only make about $3600 from piano lessons right now, but I’m hoping to get more students. And as for TBM, if I see about two people per working day, I will make close to $20,000 a year. My SO makes about 18K, so our combined tota is about 38K, which is PLENTY to get by here in Nebraska.

I knew I shouldn’t have read this post! I’m so totally depressed now! I have a teaching degree and it’s getting me nowhere, so I’m basically making minimum wage. I hate it and want to go back to school for something else but don’t want to pay or spend another 4 years in school. Fiance has 2 degrees and is working at small business that is WAY underpaying him and for some reason he wont ask for a raise or find a better job. Plus 90% of what he gets paid each month goes to student loans.

Luckily my parents have spoiled me, at and 25, I still live at home and they take care of food and whatnot. I have no bills or loans or credit cards… so I have managed to save a lot of what I actually make… but praying I find a job/career soon or we are going to have some rough times ahead.

Happy to see so many of you are living so well though.

I’m 24 and make $50k or so, which is pretty good for my town. I am an HR Assistant but I went to school to be an Advisor (which makes $75k on average) since I have a bachelor’s in Commerce with specialization in HR but the market is pretty slow nowadays.

My fiancé is a software engineer and he makes $80k and he’s 26.

Oh and I forgot to mention that we live in Ontario and have no loans but we do own a house.

@Beluga:  W00t w00t! Grad Student Lyfe. I can’t complain about my stipend, free public transportation and free insurance, though. I live pretty well in a lovely little college town in the middle of nowhere.
