I just yelled at Fiance this morning about this …. Why people are so inept to basic rules of the English language I will never be able to grasp …

Both are just about equally annoying in my book, but I think adding unnecessary “plural’s” is worse.

Haha this reminds me of my dad’s great aunt and uncle who still send out Cheistmas letters that they typed on a typewriter. Every plural word has an apostrophe.

The “Plural’s” is the worse to me, because it’s clearly wrong and you took the additional click to type it out.  Omitting it I can understand just because when you type fast, you may skip over it.

Bad grammar and puncuation are major turn-offs for me. x.x

Omitting them entirely (I’d rather see too many or improperly used ones than none)

Drives me nuts when I see a whole paragraph filled with contractions and no aposthropes whatsoever.

And sorry, I don’t buy the “typing too fast excuse”… as someone who can type over 100 words a minutes, it is just part of the process.

Sometime I’ll throw one in for something like 50’s or abbreviations, but won’t do it with typical plurals.  I find plural’s annoying, but because of my extra use I voted that not using them is worse.

I hate the “Plural’s” one.  Drives me nuts!  However, I do have to say, both really bother me.

I had difficulty answering this question, but ultimately voted with plurals’s’s’s’s’s’s’s’s’s’s’s’s’s as most annoying… oh wait, were those not necessary?

Ha ha. My husband and I had a debate about semicolons recently. He is writing “his stories” and asks me to proof for him. I always get hung up on his frequent use of semicolons when I would use commas or start a new sentence. We were debating and I pulled out my iPad as I always do to settle who is right. Sure enough, he was right.

My personal pet peeve is spelling errors.

I believe that the title of this thread should be “apostrophe’s” 😉
