“The Island” (Ewan McGregor, Scarlett Johansson) was a mindfuck for me, but not for anybody who actually saw the previews. My dad just put it on one day and I was like “Well I’ve never heard of it but I’ll give it a go.” I felt like I got a “better” experience than those who saw previews and knew ahead of time what the characters only learn halfway through the movie.

Cabin in the woods is my favourite horror film, just amazing. I made my friend watch it and she thought it was “stupid and didn’t get it”. How is that even possible?
