@Ninteenthchance:  Prisoners is a long movie, but it’s definitely worth your while!

For sure, The Village.

I really liked that movie.  I feel like a lot of people hate on it because of the ending – and not having seen anything like that coming.

Ugh, the Russian-Language 1972 version of Solaris. That thing is just one big mindfuck.

Also Akira. Holy crap.

Pan’s Labyrinth too. And Black Swan.

I just got really angry when I saw The Village. I was already cross about the fact that they’d revealed the monsters weren’t monsters so early, and then the ending happened and I was just really cross about it.

Now You See Me was really disappointing, I felt. With that cast it should have been a million times better. The ending was poor, and none of the tricks were impressive because they all seemed too fake to be real, so were obviously CG and thus less exciting.

@PinkStripes:  OMG yes!  DH wanted us to watch it one night, said it was really good.  At the end I was like “NO EFFING WAY”.

End of Evangelion.

(Of course, you have to watch the entire series to get to the movie, so…)

@mrs_pudding_pop:  at least you got to the end!! I was watching with my Fiance and Maid/Matron of Honor who had both seen it and about 30 mins in Fiance goes “isn’t it crazy that he’s blind?!” I could have KILLED him! I was far enough in though that it was still a huge shock and the movie was still wicked.

Fight Club, Waking Life, and Memento are the ones coming to mind right now, but it seems like there are a couple more I’ve really enjoyed.
