A spinoff from the breast reduction and breastfeeding thread, has anyone or anyone you know of, successfully breastfed after breast augmentation? I had my breasts done in 2009, and am currently 33 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I was told by my surgeon that breastfeeding shouldn’t be an issue after the surgery, and if I was naturally going to be able to BF, then I will still be able to do so.
So bee’s – any experience?
ETA – sorry, can a mod please move this to babies or pregnancy? Thanks!

@rachiebabie: I had a reduction done when I was 19 and have had two kids since.
It depends on how extensive the surgery was and the method used to do it. I’m not sure about implants, but with my reduction the nipple was actually removed and reattached afterwards. I had 6 pounds removed…I had big boobs. Damn things grew back too…
Anyway, the best way I can describe it is that when my milk came in it filled the ducts but then had nowhere to go. I felt like I had giant water balloons with fireman hose water pressure stapled to my chest. It was like I had all of the plumbing but none of it was hooked up to the faucet so I just had to sit back and wait for it all to naturally absorb into my body…took a few days.
