I sadly don’t fit into this category, but Darling Husband is a computer programmer (software development). I will say that our proximity to NYC makes his salary higher than most other developers.

I wish!  I’ll come close this year if you include bonuses and OT, but wont break 6 figures  =(  (Engineer)

my household income is over $100k πŸ˜› does that count? XD

but seriously though, I’ve just started out in the workforce so I’m not quite near $100k yet. I’m an engineer.

it’ll take me 5-10 years out of school to reach this in academia…if I consult or join a think tank less of course

 

then again a lot of engineers dont earn this out of school either so I feel better!

@Pinkmoon:  yes I am an engineer, and so is my Darling Husband πŸ™‚ My father and both my ILs are engineers too. I agree it’s a great field to be in.
