So I’m pretty good about keeping my calories in check but on Saturdays (and a few sundays) I lose it.
I love college football and that means TAILGATING AND BEER. I’ve decided long ago that it’s just not worth it to count my calories on a day like today haha.
Anyone else have a favorite cheat day of the week or reason to cheat because it’s almost impossible to stay on track?

@veryberry13: When Fiance proposed to me, we spent the day eating all of our favourite crap food!
I will also order him in something or bring him something back if he is late in from work, I know he gets hungry when he gets in late.
Sometimes we both crave a KFC and we both go and eat KFC wings lol.
We just keep these days to a minimum (I’m lucky because he’s a lifter, he taught me how to lift) so he is really supportive of me and will help me with my diet etc

@veryberry13: Saturday is my cheat day… Except for football season. Then it’s definitely nachos and quesadilla and Buffalo chicken wing dip ALL Sunday long!

I used to do a cheat day once a week, but that was slowing down my weight loss to much. I only have 4 lbs to lose & it’s stubborn!
I’m trying for 1 a month but Dh’s birthday is interfering with that plan for October. After that, I’m going to try not to have a cheat day till Thanksgiving.

I usually use Friday or Saturday as my cheat day (sometimes both :/). We typically go out to eat one of those nights and then go out to a bar. We have been trying out local restaurants and I don’t want to try a salad when we are at a restaurant known for something else! And I hate tracking when I’m at the bar.
I’m trying to cut out all cheat days for the next month though (starting today). We’re taking our tropical honeymoon at the end of November and I’m hoping to run around in a bikini the whole week! I need to get rid of the extra layer of belly fat to feel comfortable doing that though. And that whole week will be a cheat week…

@sassy411: Looks like we’re in the same boat trying to cut out cheat days for the next month! I sat down and wrote down the tough days (such as a birthday party and a wedding) so that I can make sure I fill up on healthy foods before both so I don’t eat a bunch of unhealthy things! I only have a few more pounds I want to lose too but they sure are stubborn ones!

I don’t believe in cheat days – “For every day that you binge, it pushes back the day you get to your ultimate goal weight by a whole week”.
Even if you’re not trying to lose weight, I think having a cheat day is a bad idea. It cannot be good for your body to eat healthy food for six days and then binge on fatty, salty, sugary, calorie dense food in high quantities for a day and then repeat week after week.
