What material is the dress?  I think the dress is beautiful, but a lace veil might look kind of… off.  In my mind, I’m picturing a raw edged or satin edged veil looking better with it.

I think the dress is lovely, but with the v-neck and the bow on the front, and the buttons down the back, it’s got too much going on to look good with a mantilla veil.

@lionskitty:  I’m sorry  =o(  I personally tend to think that lace mantillas look better with lace dresses.  That being said, I really love that dress you picked!!

@lionskitty:  Have you tried dresses on yet?  You just never know… the one you love may look perfect on you, or it may not look at all like you envisioned.  Same with veils!  I always kind of figured I’d wear some sort of longish veil because that’s what I’ve always seen, but I ended up hating how it felt against my shoulders and back so now I’m going with a birdcage, lol

I think that the material and the cut of the dress are fairly modern looking and mantilla veils have such an old world feel to them that they may sort of clash but you never know until you try them on together.  I could be crazy.  Regardless, you will look beautiful in this gown!

This dress plus a lightly sequined/sparkly veil with no blusher would be lovely.

Or the mantilla veil with something lacey and beaded with a more sleek silhouette.  Although I thought a mantilla would really work with my maggie soterro Milana which has that sort of catholic ceremony old world feel to it too and it was just too much.  Hopefully you have better luck.

This IS my dress, i am taking the sash that comes with it off and I added a 4″ wide crystal beaded sash for some bling! I love this dress and I am busty and a size 18, the taffeta doesnt feel like sleeping bag material taffeta at all but instead a very heavey satin material….my veil is a raw edge with beading that compliments my sash….best of luck!
