Did you spend more or less than is average for your area?
There are likely other sites out here to find out average costs, but here’s one to get you started: http://www.costofwedding.com/
ETA: Sorry, wedding bee site went cookoo on me there. Poll options fixed now, the double same response removed replaced with less option.

Considering I had a small budget way less than my area…lol

There’s no option for less. The average in my area is over 27K, we plan to keep it under 20K, hopefully around 15K.

More for where the wedding was held, avg for where we live/work (I voted more)

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
According to the site you linked, the “average” for our area is $26-44k. We are at the lowest end of that “average” range for everything, including our mini-moon (the site does not include honeymoon $$ in its calculations). So I guess we are actually less than average.

Way less. And that’s for a 300-400 person wedding. I would love to go to the ‘average’ wedding in my area, lol. I don’t think I know anyone who’s had the ‘average price’ wedding in my area.

We spent about 1/3 of the lower end of average in our area.
I don’t think I could’ve allowed myself to spend the “average” even if we had had it! That’s just ridiculous to me…

We’re doing a destination wedding. Here in Toronto, the avg is like $35k. We are spending about $15k in Mexico~

It says the average for my area is between $20K and $34K, which seems like a huge range to me. We’re spending under $10K but we’re only having about 60 guests.

My average was 17k-28k for 120-134 people. I spent around 25k, but for twice the number of people!

Well, it says 40k is the average, and we are shooting for 24…so WAYYYY less.
if you put your cursor on the bar graph, it shows you the average, not just the range.

@iheartnerds: I think the large range is partially due to the range in guests they provide.

We spent more than the average where we got married (Indiana), but far, far less than the average where my parents live, which was our second choice location (Connecticut).

@Mrs. Meowerson: Oh wow!!! Then it that case we spent like 1/5 of the average! WooHoo!
