My sister and I are complete opposites in A LOT of ways. Physically is most evident. She’s always been battling her weight and is about a size 22 right now. I’ve always ranged between a 6-10. She has curly red hair and is very very very fair skinned. I have dark brown wavy hair and while I’m fair, I’m not nearly as fair as she is. I’m an inch or two taller than my sister. We look alike in our eyes and eye brows, but that’s about it. Some of our mannerisms and the way we laugh is very similar, but that’s about it!

I’m not sure I’m built much like my mom either. She’s a good 6″ shorter than me. She’s a very busty lady and always wears big clothes that make her look rounder than she is, so it’s hard for me to say if we’re similar in other areas body-type-wise. If I look at photos of her at my age I think we look alike, but I don’t think we look alike now.

When I was a kid I used to think I was adopted because I was SO different from everyone in my family. I’m still not convinced 😉

@babybumblebee: Glad I’m not the only one whose mom has yelled about the hips! When I was 14 and started getting a butt, she freaked way out.

My DAD was mentioning to me about getting bigger/gaining weight when I was a teenager!! Now that is because I am 5’2.5″ and I grew stupid-a** hips what seemed like overnight and I myself was self consious of weight-gain 🙁

I also have a pretty tiny waist and medium chest? I still always say its pretty small because I’m pear-shaped with bigger thighs and it sucks. (34B’s, but 32C’s at Victoria’s secret haha). Honestly I don’t know where they get that measurement because it’s small.

Believe it or not, I have the largest chest out of my mom and 2 other sisters. But they are all taller and slender. Mom 5’10.5″, and sisters 5’6″ 5’7″?? the youngest still growing…. Mom has a bit more hips though and lots of legs haha.

I’m a freak with big feet for my hieght… I can wear the same shoes Im pretty sure as my 2 sisters… not Mom though.

Not really.  My sister and I are very petite, around 5’0, 100 pounds. I tend to gain weight in my stomach (perfect….) and my sister is very chesty (damn her) and gains weight in her hips and thighs.  Our mom is 5’8 and curvy, so I don’t know what happened!

@Mrs Grape:

Oh no, sorry to hear you guys went through the same thing! *hugs*

The weirdest thing was that my mom would yell at me about my hips, and then the next day lecture me on how I shouldn’t be bulimic. I was just trying to make her happy, but I couldn’t win! sigh!

My twin and I are built the exact same way. I’m a little more muscular than her but it doesn’t really make a difference. We are built like our mom. I have 2 inches taller than my mom and an inch taller than my sister. I have my moms built but she has little bit of a stomach. I’m sure that will happen to me too when I get past a certain age. It’s kind of neat though, I always think that if I have a girl she will probably have my built, too.

Not at all. My sister and I are pretty much exact opposites. She’s got the tiny waste, smaller chest, and bigger hips. I have a large chest, carry my weight in my belly, and have smaller hips. Even when we’re exactly the same size, we can’t share a lot of clothes.

Nope. My mom and sister are pear shaped and have no chest. I have a more curvy frame
