I don’t really care what she wears. Nor do I care what my own mom wears. As long as no one is dressed like a stinkin hoochie… wear what you like!

Not at all. I couldn’t understand why all the moms wanted to call each other and me and talk about outfits. I figure they can wear anything they like. My Mother-In-Law even called before the wedding to ask me if I was okay with her wearing a white cardigan and white shoes (over her dark green dress) and I couldn’t figure out why I would care until she said she was worried I’d be upset she was in white??? lol. Um, no. She wore it and looked great and I’m quite sure everyone knew who the bride was.

My Future Mother-In-Law can wear what ever she wants. As long as she feels good in it I’m happy.

Other than a floor length, white dress, they are both free to wear whatever they’d like!

I didn’t care what she wore but I’m glad at what I helped her pick out.  It wasn’t a fashion show.

My rule was that everyone needed to feel gorgeous. Beyond that I really didn’t care. I went shopping with my mom because she hates shopping and my dad has a record of buying her hideous clothes so I didn’t trust him. My Mother-In-Law brought me swatches of fabric and detailed descriptions of what she wanted to buy which was totally not necessary but she needed confirmation so I just said “Sounds wonderful!” and made her happy. They both looked and felt gorgeous so it worked out 🙂

lol, that second poll option cracked me up Smile

I’m with you- I don’t care. My wedding will be casual & she has great taste in clothes anyway. So as long as she doesn’t dress too formal (she won’t), I’m good.

As long as she’s dressed appropriately (like–covered up, in a dress/suit/whatever makes her happy that isn’t casual like jeans), I am happy if she is happy.

Honestly, both our moms have great taste so I’m not at all worried.  They went shopping together because they wanted to coordinate a little bit, which I thought was super adorable, but was certainly not something I required.

Don’t care. I feel like when people do, they are taking this wedding thing too far and need to dial it down a notch.

I kind of cared, but I didn’t say anything (similar reasons as you:  she’s a grown woman and can make her own decisions).  I was a little nervous, because she can have some crazy outfits… other than the wrist corsages she bought for herself and Future Sister-In-Law, her outfit was just fine.

I don’t really care what she wears, as long is it’s the right level of formality.  I’m more than happy to help her shop though, if she wants.

I really don’t care .  Of course, it is easy to say because she always dresses appropriately and looks nice.  But if she didn’t, it would only reflect on her, not on me.

@bakerella: love your “rule” 🙂 i really didn’t care what they wore as long as they were comfortable and happy! they both asked me to “approve” what they were wearing and for ideas, but i think they mostly were just excited and wanted to show off their outfits 🙂 also i never worried about whether they’d wear “appropriate” outfits–they’re both professional women who are most comfortable in blazer/suit-type styles, so none of that “omg my fmil wants to dress like a skank” type of worries that i see every once in awhile on the bee.
