Yes, we usually do. The way our apartment is now we have no kitchen table, just a small dining room set that super uncomfortable. We only use it when we have company or a nice dinner, otherwise it’s the mail catcher.

Ugh, every day. This is something I really want to change. We’re house hunting right now and one of the things we’re saying we want to do in the new house is less eating in front of the tv. We’ll see what happens!

We have a combined living/dining room. We sit at the dining room table, but usually have the news on in the living room. This is not my preference, but it is DH’s, so I live with it for now, but we have an understanding that once we have children we will eat as a family without the tv.

We almost always eat in front of the tv, except for special occasions.. both of us are not ones to talk much while we’re eating.  I think when we have kids though, dinner time will be in the kitchen and not the living room ๐Ÿ™‚

We don’t usually eat dinner in front of the TV, but we will snack there while watching movies. ๐Ÿ™‚

Never. Mostly b/c we rarely watch tv, but it’s also a terrible habit b/c you’re much less aware of how much food you’re eating. Plus, once we have kids, “family time” at the dinner table is very important to us, and we are getting into that habit now of eating together!

We eat at the kitchen table every night but there is a kitch tv and we always have that on while we eat. Growing up my parents never allowed tv at dinner time but my SO’s parents always have it on at dinner. Now my SO and I will do the same.

Depends on what we make cause we don’t have a coffee table to put things on and I use our tv stands as decorative tables lol. Steak, things that are messy, or things that require more than one dish for each of us means we eat at the dining table. But anything else that we can just hold with one hand and eat with the other, is usually eaten in front of the tv.

Actually, I guess technically we always eat in front of the tv because our apt is small and the “dining room” is just a little space in the back of the living room. We can still watch tv from there Laughing

All the time. Once we have the baby, we will sit at the dining room table (well, when baby is able to sit at the table with us) but we enjoy watching our favorite tv shows while eating in the living room. We have placemats for the coffee table. ๐Ÿ™‚

Sure do!  My kitchen is tiny and my table pretty much is extra space to store things.  Later down the road when we have kids, the kitchen table will be used more.

We like to sit down and just talk face to face.  He works long hours so sometimes it’s the only “us” time we get.

If we do take out on Friday nights we will sit down in front of the TV and watch a movie while we eat.

I eat by myself 95% of the time. It would just feel odd for me to sit and eat by myself at the table. I do sometimes if I have my laptop out, but usually I try and plan a time to eat based upon when a tv show is coming on that I like to watch.

Hopefully once I haev a family it will switch and table eating will be much more common!

Never for dinner. DH usually doesn’t get home from work until late, so I make and have dinner with my SIL and nieces, and it’s always at the dining room table. I do, however, usually eat breakfast and/or lunch sitting on the couch (although I’m generally on my computer, the TV is usually on the Food Network as background noise). And whatever snacks or small meals I ate after dinner are usually eaten on the couch as well.

We do every day. We do not have a dining room or breakfast room so we eat in the living room. I guess we could eat with the tv off but that’s not fun. ๐Ÿ™‚
