We sleep in the same bed.

We sleep in different beds in the same room, like Lucy and Ricky.

We sleep in different beds in different rooms.

We use the same bed but sleep at different times (shift work).

we sleep in the same bed. i don’t see us changing that at any point, but who knows.

my parents were married 25 years before my dad passed away, and they slept separately for the last 15 years of that because my dad was a VERY loud snorer, and my mom was just always so crabby from lack of sleep that they decided it was the best way to keep their relationship healthy. i do think my dad resented it a bit, but he was really laid back and felt that my mom being in a good mood was more beneficial.

gingerkitten:  King beds are awesome. We upgraded a couple years ago from a full and the extra space is amazing!

Polyphemus:  my husband keeps saying our room isn’t big enough either- and I don’t care.  I’d rather have a crowded bedroom with a king (we have a 6yo who likes to come in a cuddle, a cat, and a baby on the way)

MrsWoods47:  Haha.  I have those nights too.  I just tell him to scooch over, and somewhere in his deep slumber he understands 😉

We sleep in the same bed, but we can’t sleep if we’re touching. Solution: really big bed. That way we can cuddle with fifteen minutes or so and then roll away from each other and sleep like we’re in different beds.

damarajade:  haha. Oh I did. I kind of just gently shoved him and he scooted over for me.

We sleep in the same bed, and honestly I have trouble falling asleep without him there. But even more honestly some of my best sleeping hours are those when he leaves for work and I get the bed to myself for a few hours.

I think we just need a bigger bed.

We sleep in the same bed. The only time I ever slept elsewhere is when DH was sick and kept coughing hough out he night. He snores sometimes but I just wake him up.

Love the I Love Lucy reference. Best show ever.

MrsEME:  My thought exactly!  And honestly, the footprint of a king bed isn’t that much bigger than the footprint of a queen bed.  It wouldn’t make our bedroom all that much more crowded, but it would have a HUGE impact on the amount of sleeping room we have IN the bed!

He has back problems so pretty often he sleeps in another room because he moves around alot. I appeciate having the bed to myself so I’m not really bothered by it. But when its been a few days I do start to miss him having him there. So its its great when we reconnect.

DH is a night owl … as much as we sleep at the same time, I gave up forcing him go to bed with me. Mainly I work at 7am and he work flexible hour (8-930) .  It doesn’t really bother me and after few weeks have gone since we got married, I found this system work great because he snore and is a deep sleeper… so with a night light on the wall, I won’t wake him up in the morning
