I’d like to say no, but I probably do on some level, lol. I don’t go to the gym but when I go running I do look in the mirror before I head out. Darling Husband always laughs at me but whatever, I’m self conscious I guess! haha

@Stephville:  a little, but mostly because i work at the gym i work at so all the employees know me. when i’m in the middle of a set, i’m worried about my form, not my hair, but between machines or between workouts sometimes i’ll adjust my clothing or hair or wipe my face. i don’t wear makeup in the gym. ^.^

I never wear makeup at the gym. I’m prone to breakouts if I wear anything like concealer, foundation, or powder while working out. And I wipe my eyes too much from sweat to wear makeup. I just don’t see the point in it.

My hair is usually thrown up in a bun or ponytail.

My outfits have a little more thought put into it I guess. I color coordinate, but it’s not that hard because most of my workout clothes are the same color schemes.

I don’t make a point to look good, no. I’ve had people ask me why I put on make up to go to the gym before, though. I don’t, I just leave on the make up I’ve had on all day. I do like to buy cute work out clothes as motivation though. I’m much more likely to go to the gym when I think about how I get to wear a cute outfit. It’s just what works for me.

I do try to look good wherever I go, including the gym.

I don’t care. I make sure I’m wearing something clean, I don’t smell, and my mascara isn’t too terribly smeared under my eyes from the night before.

I try to look good everywhere I go, with two exceptions being a)work and b)random errands.

ETA: and, yes, I’m one of “those girls” that will wear makeup to the pool in the summer. I am very aware that I look like a troll without it, and you can pretty much wipe off my “beauty” with a wet tissue. My attitude is and always has been ‘it’s not where you start, but where you finish.’

@Stephville:  I think its more that I just want to look good no matter where I’m going.  FI jokes that I won’t go out to get the mail without my makeup done  ;P

It seems like a waste for me to try to look good when what I’m wearing’s going to be smelly and drenched in sweat anyways.  I’m also cheap, so I’ll work out in t-shirts and tops that are on their way out.  So basically I look like crap when I work out.

I don’t wear makeup, I usually pile my hair on top of my head, I wear a t-shirt and yoga pants… I make no effort to look good. I’m there to get nasty.

It is a gym,  if you can look good while at the gym obviously one isn’t working hard enough.

I voted yes because it’s the closest choice. I don’t like curl my hair and put on a full face of makeup or anything but I try to look good most of the time, so if I go first thing in the morning I might put on mascara and bronzer or blush (I’m super pale so I look washed out without it). I also wear cute, well fitting clothes usually. You never know who you will see and I work out better if I look good and feel confident. I don’t like try to stay looking nice or avoid sweating or anything crazy.

I like to wear cute or flattering clothing, but it still has to be practical for the workout. NO booty shorts or anything like that lol.

i don’t put any thought into my hair, and I take my makeup OFF before I get started. I workout hard and sweat hard, and I embrace that look!

@Stephville:  Haha not at all!  I wear whatever I can find that is clean and comfortable, pull my hair up, and go.  If I had makeup on earlier in the day I make an effort to wash it off before going … I definitely don’t want to break out (and I probably would eventually if I was sweating with a full face of makeup on)!

I don’t really wear much makeup anyway, though (unless I’m going out or just trying to look nice for some reason).  I wear mascara and a little brow pencil since my natural hair color is light (and that includes my eyebrows!) and I dye my hair black.  I’d look really stupid if I didn’t darken my brows since they’re so light.  But … That’s it.  I think I look okay with minimal makeup, though.
