Correct me if I’m wrong but don’t little kids tend to stand, like thats how they learn?  Would make sense that some people never change that habit.

sassy411 :  You probably wouldn’t, unless you like gross things! You need to have some… sweet chilli heat or zesty cheese are the best.

Although since being pregnant I’ve been turned off of Doritos, ketchup chips are my jam though… soooo good. But apparently they’re not a thing in the states?! Can an American bee report back on this?

des- :  Sorry for thread jacking, OP. To answer your question – standing to wipe is weird as fuck. No idea if hub does it cause he won’t let me in the bathroom when he does a #2, but now I’m wondering if it’s cause he stands to wipe and he’s too ashamed for anyone to know his secret.

brittnamrogo :  Ketchup chips are not a thing in the states.  I mean they probably exist in some small, funky/“gourmet”/regional brand or something but they aren’t a widespread thing.  They sound great though.

wildflowerz :  They are literally the best chips ever, I feel so sorry you guys are missing out! One of my American cousins asked me “Can’t you just put ketchup on a chip and it would be the same?” LIKE, HOW DARE YOU EVEN SUGGEST SUCH BLASPHEMY!

Fortunately that is a closed-door event for my husband so I’ll have to ask the cats because they love to marinate in there with him.

skunktastic :  when I say sit I guess it’s more of a lean? definitely not putting my hand in the toilet, but also not risking the cheeks coming back together.

brittnamrogo :   wildflowerz :  This thread is so weird, but no ketchup chips are not a thing in the states. I was in Canada last month and bought some, because I had to try them. I’m all about weird chip flavors (we tried several flavors that you can’t find in the states) but I thought they were pretty gross TBH. I tried the Lays brand, maybe other brands are better.

    brittnamrogo :

I am as snack food stupid as someone from another planet.  Had to give it all up due to old age, the scale took on a life of its own and turned on me.

But, now I’m thinkin’ it might be time for a few Doritos.

LilliV :  and when people say stand they really mean more of a squat that also doesn’t push the cheeks together (at least I hope so based on my preference!). I think as weird as both methods sound to the other group, they aren’t actually a far cry from each other.

I can’t believe I’m this bored at work today, lol. Yellow tortilla chips ftw.

brittnamrogo :  I idea of ketchup chips might actually gross me out MORE than the idea of wiping standing up.

Also realized I never answered the original question: I have no idea what D H does to wipe, but I’m going to speak for him and say he is a seated wiper and not some kind of… barbarian.

SithLady :  really?! That makes me so sad haha! Maybe growing up eating them for the last 29 years has made my tastebuds adjust to them and they really are super disgusting?! Did you at least try a poutine while you were here?! And please don’t tell me you found that gross too! 😂

sassy411 :  I feel ya, I should probably do the same but food is the only thing in life that brings me happiness so I’ll trade the extra 30 pounds to satisfy myself with my chips, cheese and crackers haha.

desertgypsy :  pssssht all this hate on ketchup chips! Where are my Canadian bees to back me up?!

Also… my gross mind just somehow went to using a ketchup chip to wipe, standing up.

brittnamrogo :  Oh, I had plenty of poutine, but that wasn’t a first time thing, I know it’s amazing. And Tim Hortons. We had Tim’s in Maine growing up and I’d missed it. I’m just not on board with the ketchup chips, idk, it’s the first time I’ve encountered a chip I didn’t like. Then again, I grew up drinking Moxie soda, which is pretty gross to most people, so there may be some merit to the tastebud adjustment.
