I’m a sitter, my fiance is a stander. I don’t understand how he does it, but I guess he gets the job done?

des- :  haha!!  In Australia you’d have to have arms like a gorilla to touch anything like water in the bowl. We are the proud inventors of the dual flush toilet. We have issues with droughts and water rationing so our toilets use very little water to flush! The water level in our toilets are so low that it would be near on impossible to get your hand anywhere near it whilst wiping.

I always forget about our toilets until I travel and I get a fright when I go to flush away a number 2 and its right there on top of a full bowl of water in all it’s glory!! Doesn’t happen like that at home!! πŸ™ˆ πŸ˜‚

I sit. My hand has never touched toilet water. My husband stands, I found out because one of his roommates in college apparently dipped his hand in the water while sitting and wiping and my husband was retelling this story laughing his butt off with like 3 other friends who – all 4 of them – were shrieking about how weird it was to sit. I thought I was in the middle of some weird standers cult meeting, I had never realized people stood and wiped before then.

I live in the states, and there are ketchup chips at Walmart. But I do live near Canada. I’ve never tried them.

I just have to add that once I was reading a conversation elsewhere with more countries involved and I can say based on it that anyone anywhere that uses bidets thinks that we are all disgusting and skid marking our clothes – sit or stand.  Let’s let that one sink in, lol.

Also it’s lunchtime and I almost never eat chips. But now I want them.

skunktastic :  I’m kind of scared of bidets now.

My good friend worked with a woman that went on holiday overseas and decided to use the bidet for the first time. The pressure was more than what she expected and she shot some water up her vagina by accident and it must of ended up in her uterus too. I didnt even know that was even possible but she ended up with an infection in her uterus as a result of the water not being able to drain out. By the time she got back home her infection was so bad they ended up having to perform a hysterectomy on her when the infection wouldn’t clear. She was in hospital for a month with it all.

Every time I see a bidet, I think of that lady and my lady parts scrunch themselves up in fear. πŸ˜₯

des- :  I’ve def never been in the room at the critical time

You just made me cry with this. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I chose the you’re lying option… In what way does standing up help with wiping? I need a logistical explanation.

brittnamrogo :  some major company tried to roll out ketchup flavor chips (potato crisps) maybe a decade ago? 15 years? I have a vague recollection of them in high school or college. Anyway, they were a flop with Americans. I tried them, didn’t care for them – but i also am not a ketchup fan generally. I prefer mayo on my fries and mustard on my chicken.

des- :  i sit, husband sits (i know this because we live in nyc and privacy disappeared years ago), and all the kids I’ve ever nannied or known sit. I don’t effing understand this whole “standing” thing.

I have no idea how my Fiance wipes his ass and I’m not sure I want to know now…
