I voted ‘every day’ though I do cook a few times a month. SO cooks during the week and if I cook it’ll be during the weekend. He loves to ‘create’ and he’s brilliant at it. His food is always so yummy.

I do feel very lucky – I have friends whose SO/FI/DH never cooks, even if they’re sick, running late etc. and if the girlfriend/wife isn’t there to cook for him, he buys take out.

Once we have children and I’m a Stay-At-Home Mom I assume I’ll end up doing most of the cooking during the week, but SO will definitely want to take over on the weekends, which will be more then fine with me!

Darling Husband is the ONLY one of us who cooks. I never do, if I can help it. His grandfather owned and ran a restaurant and Darling Husband basically grew up “working” there. I, on the other hand, could burn water.

Our arrangement is – he cooks it, I clean it up. It works for us.

i get home before he does so i usually make dinner, but he has no problem cooking for us if he isn’t busy. he always does the grilling and makes breakfast almost every weekend. he will also cook if i’m not feeling well. he’s the best!

My husband is a pretty good cook. We alternate cooking days so its split pretty evenly. He makes amazing shrimp scampi.

We both cook,  although he sticks to his go to dishes and I like to experiment a little!  Of course,  his meals never turn out like crap like mine can be 🙂

@Serey:  Yum!  Those pancakes look amazing!

My fiance cooks sometimes.  He recently moved to a new shift at the hospital he works at, so he works 7 on, 7 off evenings.  On his 7 off, he tries to cook more often since I work Monday through Friday every week and am often exhausted when I get home.

I love cooking, but it’s definitely a nice change of pace when he makes something for me!  He likes making breakfast (even for dinner) and comfort foods (usually a casserole of some kind).  He made beef tips with gravy in the crockpot for me during his last 7 off and it was amazing!

He does! He used to cook everyday, now i cook, he still cooks sometimes 🙂

He just mixes the ingredients he finds in the fridge, it’s always delicious!

He BBQs, and he can make himself KD… and that is the extent of it. I’m no Martha Stewart myself, so I can’t really complain!

He’s a good cook in general, I particularly like how he makes a lot of soup.

That said, he seems to like when I cook and he clearns.  If given the choice of the two jobs, I’d choose cooking every time, so I’m happy with that!  Most meals I do the cooking, he “bartends” and takes the lead on cleaning up.

We fend for ourselves most nights so he cooks all the time but I don’t usually eat it. When we do eat dinner together, we usually split cooking duties. If it’s something we’ve made before he will cook it but if it’s something new I will make it because I’m usually the one who found the recipie.

Ubfortunnately what FH considers cooking is usually involves heating up something frozen or usig the deep fryer. I tell him that there will be none of that here mister! However he does make a fine beef barbecue (some would call sloppy joes).

@Serey:  I have been craving pancakes SO HARD for the last 5weeks or so. I showed this picture to Darling Husband, and he was like “Yeah, looks good” I told him how YOUR wonderful husband made them for you, and he told me no.

So have extra pancakes for me! They look AMAZING!
