My everyday makeup for work or normal going out activities is so light that I doubt he even realizes I have it on (just under eye concealer, bare minerals powder foundation and sometimes a little blush). He’s never expressed any like or dislike either way though. When we’re just hanging out at home or doing quick errands, I won’t put any on, and he doesn’t say anything. When there are special occasions and I take time to really do my makeup (the whole shebang with foundation, concealer, powder, blush, bronzer, eye shadow, liner, mascara, lip gloss), he usually comments that I look nice, but I think he’s be confused if I did that to go to work. haha.

My husband likes my makeup. Which is good, because I like wearing/doing makeup. I usually don’t do anything too out-there (I am a slave for neutrals!) but when I do try something different he seems to notice and compliments me on it! He doesn’t mind when I don’t wear makeup though. But it isn’t very often that I don’t wear makeup.

I don’t wear makeup often, but Fiance hates red lipstick and really crazy, brightly-colored eyeshadow that we see in commercials and magazines. I usually go for a smoky and metallic eye and a nude or pale lip anyway, so it’s not a big deal.

He’s told me time and again that he doesn’t like me in makeup, and he’d know the difference — before I started working in the city (including throughout college, so basically the first 4 years of our relationship) I very very rarely, if ever, wore makeup. Now, for the past year and a half, I wear makeup almost every day. I used to not care, but now I don’t feel pretty and ready to go outside if I don’t have makeup on.

OK, let’s see if I can add one! Yes I can, looks like– it’ll be up in a minute!

Normal makeup but nothing extreme. He says I don’t need it and I often times go without it. I’m glad he loves me both ways

My Fiance hates anything on the lips that might come off on him, but when I wear a little more than normal elsewhere he loves it. I wore eyeshadow AND eyeliner the other day, when I typically just wear one or the other, and he noticed and commented, and said it looked nice. It’s nice to know he likes it once in awhile!

I voted “other” because he likes me without any makeup, with minimal makeup, and with “going out” makeup … Or so he says.
I typically wear very minimal makeup to work (mascara on my top lashes and a little eyebrow pencil to match them to my hair color). If we’re going out, I’ll wear more makeup (foundation, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner in addition to mascara and eyebrow pencil), but I try not to go over the top with it. I never wear lipstick, so I’m not sure if he’d like that or not.

I don’t really wear makeup except for a foundation when I’m going out to cover up my acne scars.
He hasn’t commented one way or another, so I don’t think he cares.

I wear pretty normal makeup, my Fi prefers me without though – He loves natural girls in that sense that he does not like makeup – clothes and hair overdone. I think he loves my wavy morning hair and natural face the best. 🙂

I think my husband likes any makeup look I would do – within reason. I’m not super risky when it comes to makeup, so I’ve certainly never rocked a fuschia lip or anything like that so I can’t say how he’d react. He says I look beautiful when we go to a formal event and I have a smokey eye and nude lip, and he says I look beautiful when I throw on some blush and mascara to go to work (and obviously he says I look beautiful without any makeup though he’s definitely lying!) I think most guys like women with a bit of makeup – the natural look – since most men probably don’t even realize the makeup is there! I also think that a bolder eyeshadow is a much more guy-friendly way to take risks with makeup than a bolder lip.

Never wear make up, and this was the actual conversation with Fiance from a few months ago on the topic:
Me: What do you think about me wearing make up on a regular basis?
Fiance: Make up would probably make you look beautiful.
Me: *Blink blink*
Fiance: I mean…you’re already beautiful but could look MORE beautiful
Me: *Blink blink*
Fiance: Not that you NEED to look more beautiful. You’re…uh…beautiful the way you are. I just meant maybe it would smooth out your looks.
Fiance: FML. I’ll get a blanket and pillow for the couch.

DH likes when I wear makeup. It’s part of the whole, “make an effort to look nice for your spouse” thing. Still, I don’t wear it every day because I find the whole process so tedious, from putting it on to checking on it throughout the day to taking it all off at night. So I can really only be bothered to make an effort a few times a week. : I’m trying to get into makeup more.
I’m a fair-skinned redhead, so I can’t get away with wearing a lot of bold looks or dark colors. I mostly stick with neutrals and the occasional slight pop of color or berry lipstick. My most-used eyeshadow is the Urban Decay Naked palette. DH hasn’t said anything about what he doesn’t like, so I think he’s just happy to see that I’m wearing any at all.

He’s not a fan, but appreciates that I keep it pretty light on a daily basis. Lip stuff is what really drives him bonkers, even tinted lip balms.
