He always says I don’t need it but also tells me that I look really good when I am made up (nothing extreme unless it’s halloween)… so I guess he’s happy if I just look like myself.

My husband like my natural-looking makeup (I’m a makeup every day, even lazy days and Christmas morning girl); but if I do it a little too darkfor my fair, blonde complexion he doesn’t like it. I think he would prefer I don’t wear any; but I need something on my skin at least to keep the redness in check.

@Creiddylad:  He likes me with and without makeup. His ex wife didn’t really look after herself… like she wouldn’t even use moisturizer ever, so he appreciates that I take pride in my appearance. I am generally pretty natural but always at least wear mascara. He doesn’t like kissing too much goop on my lips though haha.

My fi doesn’t care either way. He just wants me to be happy. But, I’m the type of girl that never goes ANYWHERE without makeup. At home I bum around without makeup – but – I put my face on if i go out.. even if its just to the gas station. It’s something I’ve always done, and he doesn’t care, it’s just another of my quirks. He just doesn’t like overdone makeup [we call it clown makeup… overly drawn on eyebrows, ectect]. My makeup is more natural, the only thing I go really heavy on is the mascara .

My fiance actually does like it when I wear makeup, but pretended I didn’t for the first two YEARS of our relationship, haha! That’s why I voted for “doesn’t like it on principle”: as he put it, the principle is that he wanted to make me feel beautiful naturally, so he didn’t want to admit he liked me all made up 😛

DH says he loves me with or without. I wear makeup a lot, I went to school for it. He says I do it so well he doesn’t even notice I’m wearing it. He always tells me how talented I am and that it looks pretty.

My Fiance loves when I wear make-up and said it makes him feel special because I make the effort to always look my best and he appreciates it. He loves the way men and women look at me he said he says to himself she is all mine isnt she beautiful.

Everytime I talk to him he tells me that I am beautiful and thanks God everyday for a woman like me to love a guy like him. We are blessed to have each other.

He likes it, but I don’t overdo it. I only wear eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara. Sometimes I wear darker make up, but I usually use the Almay make up for blue eyes. I always put on some make up before I leave the house, even if it is just some mascara.

My experience (based only from the ~10 relationships I’ve been in (and I admit, I have a “type” so they all had about the same taste))

YES: mascara, eyeliner (upper lid only), concealer used in moderation, powder (for matte complexion), natural blush (also used in moderation)

NO: foundation, eyeliner on the lower waterline, sticky-looking (aka all) liquid lipgloss, dark eyeshadow, black lipstick (hee hee ~ it was fun in high school!)

MAYBE/SPECIAL OCCASION: matte/semi-gloss lipstick, light-colored (champagne/pink/gold) sparkly eyeshadow on eyelid only, bright pink (& sparingly used) blush

My current SO is a little more open-minded about makeup than some of my exes. He likes it when I wear orange or pink lipstick and things like that. But I also know that he would luv me even if I never wore any makeup at all.

He thinks I’m beautiful with no makeup and a lot of makeup. Both are just different looks. Just like he looks handsome in a t-shirt and also a suit. Both are great!

I rarely wear it (anymore) but a few times a month i’ll throw on some liner, mascara, shadow and he loves it.  Tells me how pretty I look.  I think the eye enhancement really makes him take notice lol.  At minimum i try to wear mascara every day because i notice he loves looking into (or at maybe) my eyes.

Fiance was raised by women and is extremely detail-oriented to boot. So he notices everything and will even help me watch out for smudged liner or foundation lines. I normally keep it very natural and he always notices when I try something new, even if it’s slight, like shaping my eyeliner different, although sometimes I have to clue him on what the difference actually is. The other day I tried out teal eyeliner on my bottom line and he said he loved it, that he’d like to see it more. Another time I tried a glittery cat-eye look and he said that it looked sexy but he’d like it kept to special occassions. You get the idea.

I really love knowing that my efforts are appreciated, and getting such specific feedback – and I especially like being able to turn my head and say “anything need to be rubbed in?” and he’ll take care of it. 😉

He likes natural looking makeup like mascara and bb cream but he thinks most lipstick is horrible and he hates eyeliner

Fiance generally likes my not-so-subtle makeup, but I very rarely do it. Only special occasions or days when I want to look cute. The only makeup he isn’t a fan of is lip stuff that’ll come off on him and my age makeup. I do special effects stuff with theater and old lady me kinda freaked him out.

This is me at work and the exact same makeup I’ve worn every single day (unless I’m lounging at home on a rare day off!) for the last 4-5 years. He loves the way I look and present myself but he also loves when he gets to see me without it on which isn’t often!

He doesn’t like it so much when I attack him with kisses and leave red lippy all over his face! 😛
