Spinoff from this thread: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/for-bees-without-credit-cards-questions
How many credit cards do you have? Store cards count too!
I have 2 credit cards, one Visa through Bank of America and one for Ann Taylor / Loft as I shop there frequently and get added discounts.
Darling Husband has 3 cards. He gets an American Express through work (although he doesn’t use it much) and then has Visas through Marriott and Delta in order to take advantage of all of the added perks they provide him due to his large amounts of travel spending for his job.
ETA: We never carry a balance on any of these cards. They are all paid off in full each month.

Victorias secret, Express, Lord and Taylor, Macys, Jcrew
2 Visa, 2 Mastercard, Discover, Amex
It started with I thought I should have one of each, then I got a few more for good rewards. Now I use whatever gives me the best perks for the situation. I charge everything and dont carry balances either.

I have three. My very first card from Capital One, which I got because I could when I was 18. I keep it because, aside from my student loan, is my longest standing credit account. My second one is credit rebuild card from Orchard Bank that I got to help fix my credit after a 2 year unemployment but it has a low limit and an annual fee. I probably will close it when my credit gets slightly better. The last is Barclay Card I got to “finance” my Macbook for 0%. I’m still trying to rebuild credit and they were willing to give me a good chunk of credit. It’s my highest limit card and really helps my debt-to-credit ratio.
Fiance… hmm, I think he has two cashback cards (one Chase, one Amex) and a Mastercard through his bank that he doesn’t use. As far as store cards I think he just has a Kohl’s card and a Tiffany’s card.
ETA: I just voted for me in the poll, not including Fiance. They’re not mine yet. 😉

Quite a few. I have one Chase card I use for pretty much everything then a Macys, Bloomies, Target, Best Buy, Amex, Continental and Neiman Marcus. Amex because it helps us with concert tickets, Target is 5% off, Continental so I get to use Elite check-in/dont pay to check a bag, Best Buy for 0% financing and the Dept store cards for discounts.

I have 5. I love, love, love the perks. Just from charging my final catering bill from my wedding I got back $163 in cash! We put our entire wedding and my engagement ring on credit cards!
I’ve never, ever carried a balance and I pay my bill in full every month.

Oh lord, 1 Visa, 1 Mastercard, 2 AmEx, 1 Discover, Victoria’s Secret, and Robbins Brothers. Have a combined credit limit of about $30K, but currently only have a balance of $3K from the wedding, should be paid off soon.

Just 1 to build credit and front work related purchases.

I have 4, soon to be 5.
I have our joint US credit card
My US credit card
Banana Republic Card
(All cards paid off in full every month, not all of them used every month).
I’m waiting on our joint UK credit card (DH already has one)
I would get rid of my personal US card, but it’s tied to my 200,000 airline miles so I’ll keep it for now.

I have one real credit card which is VISA, I got that to build my credit and then I have a Kohls card which I only got because they pestered me into applying for it while I was shopping and they offered me 30% off just for applying. But I have never used it since that initial purchase.
I think I may get one more real credit card from like capital one or something again just to build credit, but i never pay any interest on my cards because I pay off my balance in full

I feel like I have too many, but not as many as some of you!
I had 2 VISAs – 2 different banks and one inactive (never activated it) HBC card.
I just recently added a 3rd, pretty sure it’s a VISA that’s joint with Darling Husband. It hasn’t arrived yet though.
I don’t carry a balance, but I feel like my 4 plus DH’s non-joint ones get a little excessive.

I have just one. And I actually do carry a very small balance on it – but only to build my credit back up.

I have two: Capital One, and then a Macy’s one that I very rarely use. I only signed up for one because when I bought a Coach purse from there a couple years ago, I got almost 30% off.

I have one that I keep a minimum balance I pay off monthly just to maintain credit. I cut the rest up years ago.

I don’t have any. I only use my debit card for purchases, because I never wanted to rack up any debt. I seem to have decent credit from paying all my bills on time and paying off the little student loans I had.

I have two major cards and a Kohl’s card.
