I budgeted for $1000, would have gone up to $1500, but ended up with a dress that only cost $500. Score!

Thanks to Running of the Brides, mine was $250. My Mother-In-Law and a friend of hers did the alterations, which were minor, for free.

My dress retails for $6500, but I went into Vera Wang this past weekend when they were having a Royal Wedding special (wasn’t aware when I booked the appointment 2 months ago). I got 10% off the gown, along with a complimentary veil. On top of that, we’re shipping the dress to my FI’s aunt in NJ, so the sales tax got waived. So with the dress, veil, sash, and alterations (base – bustle, nip/tuck, hem), I’m at $6800. Without the sash and alterations, $5850.

    EDIT: Math fail.

    Around 140, I believe with s&h.

It was ebay from a Chinese store. NOT A REPLICA!  That I can tell.  I haven’t seen it ANYWHERE else, to be honest.  And only two or three ebay stores even have it…. compared to the never-ending-supply for the plethora of other gowns.

No alterations required, since it was a custom fit.  All I need to do is glue on a few loose sequins and beads.

$225 plus $51 for a bolero. I bought a bridesmaid dress with the tiniest sweep train.

You don’t HAVE to spend a ton of money if you don’t want to.  I’ve heard some good things about online China shops but that is risky.  Whatever you do–do not try dresses on that are outside your price range!  You are asking for dissappointment if you do

I bought mine online and only paid $847 for my Angelina Faccenda 1063 from a local online wedding store (Madame Bridal.com) then I took the dress to their main store  and had it altered for the perfect fit. I can’t wait for my family and friends to see it. Smile
