@cruffino:  I was really happy with both, and their customer service is fantastic. The shoes were a tiny bit too long, and I wrote to them just to say “can you make them half a size smaller next time?” And they replied with really detailed suggestions for getting a perfect fit on the next pair and also reminded me I was welcome to send them back to have them remade for free! (Though adding heel pads made the fit completely perfect.)

@KatieBklyn:  that’s great to hear. i’m getting married next february and want a “brial bootie”. i’ve only seen super expensive designer ones that i like so i love the idea of custom making a pair for myself at half the price.

I had my shoes customized by Design Your Pedestal.  The only reason I chose this route was because I could not, for the life of me, find an orange pair of shoes I liked. They were $150 + shipping, and worth every penny.  The lace details match my dress perfectly and I adore the colour – it’s so much fun!

I later on painted the heels of my shoes with silver glitter for fun, and even though it’s a detail I think most people will overlook, it was a fun little timesink.

Five days ago, I said I can’t see myself buying white satin shoes for $150+ that I will never wear again. Oh, and my wedding dress will cover my shoes the entire night, so it’s just not worth it. My shoes arrived today! 🙂 “

And now I am EATING my words. My shoes didn’t go with my dress AT ALL! My dress is ivory and those shoes are silver. Not a good match.

My bridesmaids’ dresses are coral. My colors are coral, cream, pink, and a little aqua. So I chose a colorful shoe! Apparently it’s SUPER popular because they were not easy to buy.

    (Shoes on a model)

These cost around $150. And the whole “my dress is covering my shoes thing”? Yeah, I also decided to get a reception dress to party in so my guests will see my shoes!
