Spinoff from the poll about whether we use towels once, or multiple times. How long goes by before you change your bedsheets?
I’m guilty of waiting what I consider to be WAY too long. But Fiance has NEVER once stripped the bed, washed the sheets and put new ones on. so I get frustrated doing it myself and wait a while. I ideally would like to change sheets every week, but I do it about once a month.

I try to do it every week. Sometimes it’s every other.

HA! The PP’s answers make me feel icky…. I’ve been doing it much more often since I got diagnosed with asthma because it’s supposed to help. But I still go 4-6 weeks I think… I don’t mark it on the calendar or anything.

We wash them every other week – actualy I should say our cleaning lady washes them. It is so nice to come home to clean sheets without having to be the one that cleaned them, lol!

@mchitt329: Haha! I know I am guilty of waiting way too long between washes and it makes ME feel icky. I’ve talked to a bunch of people who respond “that’s disgusting!” to me going once a month or more.

Every week now that I’m a Stay-At-Home Mom.
Before that, I don’t know… It’s easier now since I made a schedule for all chores that I want to get done.

The goal is once a week… the reality is more like every two. I try really, really hard not to let it get past that.

Once a week, Thursdays to be exact, for me. Oprah suggests every two days but that is a bit of overachieving. We have two nice sheet sets that we rotate through, and some random ones if we need them. Strip the bed, toss in the wash, put on the second set. So much better than sheets being in the dryer at dinnertime and knowing that you still have to make your bed before you can sleep.

@PrincessBride2014: I change the sheets every week. You sweat at night whether you realize it or not, you shed hair and skin, and if you have pets – well, that equates nasty sheets! So every weekend I strip the bed and put new sheets on.

@PrincessBride2014: ideally I would do it once s week because our dog sleeps on the bed with us and the hair is so gross but I nver seem to find the time in between class and work lol so it gets done about once a month. Eek it grosses me out to think about it. Note to self: washing sheets when I get home today lol
edited to ask do all of you girls have more than one set of sheets for your bed? I guess that would make it easier to stay on top of!
