I voted constant contact because we shoot each other a few emails and texts throughout our days, sometimes a phone call. We don’t have too many long, drawn out conversations (he’s a very busy engineer), but more along the lines of saying something sweet to each other or making plans for the evening.

Wow! Alot of you work together. So of course you’d communicate while at work 🙂

When SO & I first starting dating…it was all day long & a million times a day. Now that we live together, it has dropped significatly, and we each send each other one or two texts a day.

Ha ha, I guess I’m in the minority. We hardly communicate during the day, sometimes not even a text/phone call. We talk when he gets home from work.

We talk 2-3 times depending on the day.

I said constant contact since we work together.

We send each other a couple of texts throughout the day- just random happenings and events of the day, and maybe plans for what to do after work.

Other – We both have gmail/gchat open during the day and talk back and forth a few times during the day. Nothing long and no more than a few times and then at the end of the day we talk about dinner/evening plans. I also usually let him know when I am heading home since my commute is about an hour.

It depends, though it will soon increase since he’s joining my company. We both have odd hours so sometimes we’re home together during the day. Typically, though, we don’t communicate unless we’re in the same place or figuring out dinner.

my bf does a lot of driving for his job so he gets bored. and calls. a lot.

We text a few times during the day and very rarely a phone call on my lunch break. We work oppostie shifts so one of us is generally sleeping while the other is at work so we don’t talk much, but one of my coworkers however is constantly texting his wife and she calls the store to talk to him litterally like once an hour, it is pretty ridiculous

@scadadle15: This is an interesting post. My fiancée is a multitasker, I, on the other hand, am not. He would like to talk once in the morning, Skype in the afternoon (his bedtime) and skype again once he gets up, my bedtime. He’s in Kuwait, btw. I prefer to talk first thing in the morning and Skype at bedtime. If I don’t have too much on my plate, I’ll talk and Skype three times a day, otherwise it’s twice.

I don’t have cell service at my work (I’m in a basement), but the building has wi-fi, so I can check my email on my iphone at work. So, my fiance and I email each other throughout the day. Some days, more than others – depending on how busy we are. My fiance travels a lot for work, so we definitely chat more via email when he’s gone rather than when he’s home in the office.

We work at the same place. Our job has an instant messaging program, so we chit chat all day while we work and sometimes take breaks together.

We both work office jobs so we tend to email a ton. If someone is busy with meetings or something we have a deadline for that day we tell the person our schedule via email early in the day so we know if we will be out of email contact.
Even on our busiest days we get a quick “Hello, hows the day going” or “meeting went great. I tell you tonight” because cellphones have email and well email to a quick trip to the bathroom or during lunch etc if we are real busy.
If we are just emailing at work we exchange one liners all day long.
