I wore my mom’s veil that she wore when she married my dad, and we also used their ring pillow. My parents were married 31 years before me. I also wore my Grandma’s pearls πŸ™‚

@MrsSl82be:  Thank you. We had to change it a bit, like take off the puffy 80’s sleeves, but now it is more “me”

Beisides my e-ring (was his grandmothers, if I had to guess 1940’s) his mom gave us a old broken earring circa late 1800’s or early 1900’s and he just gave me two lockets this weekend I might pin to my bouquet from the Victorian age.

I asked my mom about my something borrowed this weekend and she brought out one of her hankies (which could also be old, not sure of the date)  Im thinking of carrying this with my flowers, as i’m sure I will need one.  It’s very pretty and has some nice embroidery.

@nutMeg13:  Love the dress!. I’m sure my mom wanted me to use hers (was her mothers), but I was too afraid to cut into to it!  I’ll leave that for my little sister.

My something old (which doubled as my something blue) was my moms aquamarine ring that my grandmother gave her on her wedding day 27 years ago (aquamarine is both of our birth stones). I’m pretty sure it was relatively new then so we’ll go with roughly 27-30 years old…

One of my “something olds” was my great-grandmother’s cake topper…I think they were married in 1934-35.
