9 I think. But I rarely wear my glasses, though I try to get used to them.

I was in 8th grade. Went from great vision and then one day I all of a sudden couldn’t see the board whatsoever. Went to the eye doctor and was already legally blind!

I was 17 & a senior in high school.  At 24 I cannot live without my glasses now!  I swear it just like happened one day!  My brother (at 21) doesn’t need any “eye intervention” & my sister (who is now 16) has relied on glasses since she was 4!  She would always sit right in front of the tv at home & my parents would always yell at her to sit back & it wasn’t until her Pre-K physical/test that they found out she couldn’t see.  Poor girl haha.  Both of my parents don’t have great eye sight, but I don’t know exactly when they started needing glasses/contacts.

    7.

And at 31 I had LASIK.  Best decision ever.  I wish I’d done it in my mid 20s.  I still reach for my glasses in the middle of the night though.  And if I’m overtired I will get into bed and then get up and go to take out my contacts.  It’s purely habitual!  It happens much less frequently now, but it makes me laugh every time I do it.

I’ve been wearing glasses since first grade. I got contacts in 9th grade when I joined a sports team, but I rarely wear them and would never get corrective surgery. I love my glasses! They’re like a part of me.

I got glasses for nearsightedness when I was 23. I can feel my eyesight getting worse, though, and I try to wear my glasses as infrequently as possible so that I don’t come to rely on them! Both my parents wear glasses.

    I’ve been wearing glasses/contacts since I was 6.
