My name was #21 for my birth year with 0.6954% of girls being given my name. I had one or two other people with my name in my grade when I was in public schools.
I’m a Kimberly born in 1987 (when everyone else was Ashley, Sarah, Amanda, and Jennifer).

Another Jennifer here, and it was #4 the year I was born. One class in high school I had 4 other Jennifers >.< Somehow managed to have a different name in almost every class one year, because someone would say “I go by Jenny” before me. THAT was annoying! lol

There were 2 of us in my class usually, at least 4 in my grade. When I got to college I was involved with a group and there were 8 girls with my name. And the best part is several of us had the same middle name. It is the number 4 name of the 90s and has been on a top 10 list since the mid 80s.

I tried to find it and it said it wasn’t in the top 1,000 but doesn’t give me an actual number!

Lauren, #21 the year I was born. It got more popular in the late 80s. There was always at least one other one in my class.
My parents swear they didn’t know a single kid named Lauren when they picked it

Mine was #15 and I knew more Kims than any other name… in fact for awhile me and my 2 best friends were all named kim… it was annoying as hell….

I’ve never met anyone with the same name as me. I know there are some out there because I’ve searched on facebook but it’s very uncommon.

Mine is #16 out of 40 on baby center for the year I was born. Not sure how that stacks up, but I guess it was pretty popular. I dont think it is as popular now.

The common spelling of my first name was #84 in 1986.
My spelling was #574.

My name wasn’t even in the top 100 the year I was born, not sure where it ranks beyond that though. It has become more popular lately, although the spelling is different.

It’s going to be funny when these Twilight kids reach elementary school and there are like 3 Isabella’s, Jacob’s, and Edward’s all in one class. Although, I don’t think Edward is as popular a name as Jacob.
One name i knew i would never use is Jennifer because i just knew too many of them growing up!

@GroovyHippieChick: I have a friend who has a rule…if you can’t find the name on a personalized mug or pen, you shouldn’t give that name to your kid!
