My name was not even on the list of names. I’ve met only a couple of people with the same first name as myself over the years. I think it is neat, I can’t be consufed with anyone.

My Darling Husband has a really common name and it seems weird to me that there are all these people with my husban’ds name everywhere I go.

I can’t find a list of most popular names in Iceland for 1985, but my name is probably way up there. Maria really isn’t ever an unpopular name.

Mine was 378 the year I was born!  Yippeee!  It has gone up significantly in popularity though, but I still can never find my name in the personalized section.

ETA: My husband’s was #22 the year he was born, but is #152 now.

Apparently not very popular at all. Can’t find it in a Top 20 list anywhere.

My name was #426 for the year I was born, I never met anyone else with my name until I was 13. My name is the Spanish version of a very popular English name so I have gone my whole life with people trying to call me the English version/only every seeing personalized stuff with the English version.

Mine was #48 when I was born. I went to a  really small school with 4 or 5 girls with the same name, but mine was always spelled differently.

Surprisingly mine was only #26 in 1982…but I graduated with 111 kids in my high school class and 3 of us were named Lauren.  Also I find there are not very many Laurens older than me.  I think it kind of exploded all at once.

My friend had an app on her phone that she showed me where you can select the hosptial where you will be delivering and it will show you the most popular names there…names are definitely somewhat regional.

Mine is listed as #78 the year I was born. Looks like the highest it ever was was #22 and is now back down in the 70s. I only have ever met one other girl with my name but I know 3 boys with it.

@2PeasinaPod:

@MrsCarnival:

I would like to introduce legislation that makes giving your kid an unusual name a crime.  Seriously. .  .

If you want a little Jigsaw Marmalade running around get a pet.  Jeez.   Don’t make little Jiggie go thru school with that name.  Kids are not kind.
