starzx6: And once you got fluent with pole work, how much of a workout was it? I ask because I took a trial class but it seemed like a lot of work to get anywhere approaching good and as such, it wasn’t like, say, running or taking a high intensity boot camp class. But it looks fun and I wonder if I should stick with it.

You should totally stick with pole dancing! I do it for fitness and its a great workout – especially if you do it regularly and start doing tricks/inversions. Great cardio, abs and arms, but really its a whole body workout.  I’ve been doing it for about 4 years and I’d recommend it to anyone. The learning curve isn’t as steep as you’d think, once you start climbing (about a month of a couple classes per week for most girls) your upper body strength will really take off and from their inverting is pretty easy. We get most of our new girls into our inversion classes within a few months.

Its such a fun workout too, and my husband definitely doens’t mind my hobby…

How did the guys’ behaviour change when they were there with their gfs and when they were there by themselves or with friends? Were all guys who were ‘well behaved’ (your words, which implies to me that if their gfs weren’t there they would all be more touching the strippers, etc hence my question) when their gfs were there more ‘misbehaved’ when their gfs weren’t there or did some still behave? That is if you saw guys in both situations, otherwise what you think. Thanks for sharing!

UnderCoverBee555:  Awesome thread!  I’m from the US, but visited a strip club once in Montreal.  My question is how do you handle tips, since $1’s are coins?  In the US they fold their dollars and put them under a g-string or strap on their arm or something.  I feel like I remember they had a little purse to put them in, but it was a long time ago.  Obviously private dances are different, but what about when people wanted to tip you while you were on stage?

ok I’m a bit annoyed here and don’t know if I should let this go, please let me know.

my husband said he would not go to a strip club for his bachelor because he didn’t want me going. At the end he changed his mind and went. His friend got sexual favors from two different strippers and he said he didn’t even get a dance. He did say that at a bar they took his shirt off and his belt and whipped him and the bartender wrote on his back but going by your original post it sounds like this happened at a strip club and not a bar. I was already upset about it and he knew it was wrong and we have moved past it all but if he lied about who did it I am going to be royally pissed. Should I bring this up? Does it sound like it was a strip club it happened?

we are both very religious and both agree this is not appropriate behavior. We agreed from the get go but he caved to peer pressure.

He said a friend paid for the bartender to take his shirt off and whip him and write on his back

This is actually pretty funny to read through. I’ve never been to a strip club but have had friends who’ve worked at one and they never talk about it!

OK, my question: Have you ever had some serious drama like a jealous girlfriend bust in after her man? How about women? Did they come to the clubs too? I know a lot of my girlfriends will go to them for fun (just like going to a bar for them) as well, have you ever danced for women?
