kb7: good question! We generally don’t get tips. I’ve heard that on the west coast of Canada, the girls have jars and the guys throw toonies ( two dollar coins) at them but I’ve never witnessed this myself! It sounds like such an odd practice I would never want anyone to throw coins at me haha. If a customer wants to tip a girl on stage, he lays down on his back, on the stage, with a bull in his mouth ( generally a 5, a 10 or a 20 although I had this guy tip me a $100 dollar bill on Vaentines Day once!! poor guy must have been depressed or lonely because he spent so much that night). Then the girl goes on top of the guy, usually stradling him and takes the $ with her boobs or some other creative way ( I’ve seen a girl take the money with her pussy but I cringed every time. Although the crowd loved it).
We generally carried our cash in a little clutch which also contained my phone and lipstick.

UnderCoverBee555: This is a super interesting thread. If I had the body and the confidence and knew that no one IRL would ever come in I would totally be a stripper. More power to you.

UnderCoverBee555: Yeah here in Alberta I’ve seen the strippers make a game out of getting pelted with coins. They would stick a coin to their skin and invite clients to try to knock it off by throwing more loonies or toonies at hrr in order to win a prize, like an autographed poster. This practice bothered me so much. It seemed so degrading.

UnderCoverBee555: Did you know how to dance before becoming a stripper?
The concept of dancing and trying to look sexy at the same time baffles me. I think thats the scariest sounding part about stripping, are there girls who can’t dance?

Dovetail: And dirty! Coins are so filthy. The thought of someone throwing them at me and that smell being on my skin makes me gag.

UnderCoverBee555: Here it’s called “character” I think ( the test), and there would be issues with stripping, it’s legal but it would be hard to impossible for a woman to do certain jobs requiring authority if it was known that she stripped ( not saying this is right at all, but that it is an issue).

did it make you feel uncomfortable or weird in anyway if you saw the guy you were performing for had on a wedding ring?

UnderCoverBee555: Having had the experience of working in a strip club and seeing the behavior of the men who frequent them, how do you feel about your significant other going to them?
Would you be able to be comfortable with him going to a bachelor party?
Also, I’ve been trying to get into pole fitness for the past couple years now but I can’t seem to get past the bruises I get from gripping the pole. How did you deal with/cover bruises?

Mrslovebug: Don’t want to threadjack — but just wanted to quickly say that I don’t think this is evidence enough to assume your guy lied. In the city where I went to college there was a bar called Coyote Ugly (modeled after the movie) that would do the shirt off whipping thing and other more out of the ordinary stuff for bacherlor parties — but it was definitely a strip club. I remember being told all of the Coyote Ugly bars around the country did it. Could have been something like that.

UnderCoverBee555: No offense to you, but your description is actually kind of worse than what I expect to have going on. Where I live there is no touching and they don’t allow alcohol in strip clubs so I think its quite a bit more tame though I’m sure there is still some of the private back room funny business. But to imagine fully naked girls grinding on guys it would make me feel less okay about my SO going to a strip club. That isn’t the same kind of entertainment to me as just watching naked girls dance out in front of you. That is reaching cheating to me by getting sexual pleasure by dry humping someone.

UnderCoverBee555: Oh wow, so all of your $ is made from dances? At strip clubs here people will tip the girls while on stage, but typically only $1.
MsBeer: +1! I’ve always kinda wanted to be a stripper for the $, but I too lack the confidence and worry that someone would recognize me IRL.

Actually, looking back maybe myself and our friends were just cheap with tipping… I used to go to strip clubs all the time when I was 18-19 with a creepy ex bf who worked at a porn store and was friends with all the strippers.

UnderCoverBee555: This isn’t really a question about stripping but is more so about working in the bar/club business. Did you ever witness any fights or did you ever have to get anyone kicked out? I love me a good bar fight.

Scarlett11: i don’t think the point is to make you more or less comfortable. Everyone’s boundaries are different.
kmark2688: this made me lol – thanks! 🙂
A question for UnderCoverBee555 – do you think there were married men, even regulars, whos wives would have no idea they enjoyed going to strip clubs?

Did girls ever fight over clients? Like is there a system for sharing clients so that no one girl hogs all the money? Or do the clients get to pick their girl?
For example, at some US restaurants, all waiters evenly divide the tips gathered and get the same amount.
