Nope, it doesnt tick me off at all.  I have a friend who has bought like 4 or 5 of the exact same purse after I bought it, and the same wallet I got after I got it and showed it to her.  I think it’s a compliment and makes it more fun to shop together when we have the same taste.

Depends on the price, and the use. Copying a shirt you wear occasionally is a compliment, copying an engagement ring you wear daily is obnoxious. AND if its identical I would be upset, whereas if its a little different it wouldn’t bother me. Like if you have the same shape center stone thats fine, but the same stone and setting is weird. Or the same shirt is weird, but same shirt in different color is fine.

ETA: Your poll doesn’t have choices.

I have a friend who copies EVERYTHING I buy, to the point where I don’t want to show her things because she’ll go get the EXACT same thing.  I think it is fine if someone does it everyone once in a while since it is considered a form of flattery but when it’s ALL the time that is crazy annoying.

    I always find it flattering.

Plus I have bigger things to worry about than if Suzie has the same couch/ring/shirt as me.

I purchased a shirt for my MOH’s birthday last week that was the same as one I already had. It was cute, looked good on me and so I figured she would like it too. Neither of us have ever been bothered by the fact that we have similar taste. 🙂

It’s flattering unless they’re deliberately trying to copy your entire style. Get your own look! 😛

it may be flattering but  its annoying. There are so many stores out there and so many clothing options why do we have to intentionally buy the same clothing? Its a different story if we both bought it separately and didnt know the other person had it , but if she deliberately goes out to buy it after she sees me wearing it thats just annoying.

When someone does it intentionally I find it annoying.  I go out of my way to be unique and find my own style, so I don’t particularly like someone else copying it because it takes away from being unique.

It just depends. Typically I could care less. But I have a friend who typically wears cowboy boots, snakeskin purses with turquoise crosses, etc….. but all of a sudden likes Big Budha bags, Gianni Bini bags, vintagey looking shoes, and the store ModCloth. Hmmmm….. It gets annoying after awhile!

I don’t like it. I tend to like ‘weird’ things makes me, “me”.

I find it flattering. But if a friend went out and bought the same outfit without saying anything and wore it the same night, I might be slightly annoyed.

@MrsPom:  I would start buying stuff, showing her and returning them, just to mess with her head lol

I had to choose “other” because I honestly can’t recall a time this has ever happened that I noticed.  Perhaps that says something about my choices?  Hahaha.
