My Fiance wouldn’t watch any of the Twilight movies until he met me. Now, he likes them. If he sees one of them on the TV guide, he’ll turn it on and he’s secretly excited for Breaking Dawn to come out this month.
He also HATED Chinese food with a dying passion. He swore all Chinese food had fish in it (he hates fish, and I’m never going to change that because he’s hated fish since he was in his mother’s womb). One night, I got some beef and broccoli and an egg roll. He took a bite of my food because he could clearly see it was steak and not fish and he LOVED it! Now, he begs for Chinese! His favorite thing is beef and broccoli and egg rolls, lol!

I have snuck in sundried tomatoes in the pasta, though he HATES it. And ofcourse I tell him. Now he doesn’t mind. Still not his favourite but he likes it better.

Country music! And I’m still working on getting him to like shopping…

I got him to start liking food that isn’t cheeseburgers or chicken sandwiches with cheese or macaroni & cheese. He loves Indian food now, especially lamb vindaloo and murgh makhani.

He now loves gridiron (aka NFL football!) Being a Brit/Aussie, he thought it was an incredibly lame sport – all that padding and breaks after every play?? He thought it was ridiculous. That’s until he lived over in the States with me for one autumn and got to realise how much fun Sunday afternoons are when they’re spent watching football with friends and family…. also, it happened to be the year Brett Favre had an absolutely amazing season (with the Vikings unfortunately) and Darling Husband was a big fan of him.

Fiance just said: “I never ate squash until you put it in my spaghetti. Now get off the Bee.” haha.

@reine_de_rien: Haha, same here. I’m weening Mr.ND off what I call the ‘preschool diet.’ He’d ALWAYS get a burger or chicken strips no matter where we went. Now, he’ll eat popcorn shrimp when we go out for seafood, he’s fallen in love with great steaks, he’s exploring different types of pastas and sauces, and he’ll even sample some of the Chinese food I bring home.
Before he’d never even look twice at different foods, but now he sort of stares at it for a bit and then asks for a bite 🙂 Now he’s cooking up a storm, too!

Frozen yogurt, one of my favorite things! He hated it but now he actually asks to go to our local frozen yogurt shop.
