(Closed) Spinoff: Noisy kids during the ceremony

  • poll: Is there a nice way of reminding parents ahead of time to remove noisy children from the ceremony?

Yes, you're just being proactive and parents won't mind.

No way, it's totally rude and offensive.

Depends on how you go about it.

I think most parents have the good sense to already know that and it would be rude to point it out. We had a few kids at our wedding and one of them started crying during the ceremony, so she was immediately taken to another room by her grandma (her mom was singing during our ceremony). That being said, I was so caught up in the moment that I didn’t even hear her cry, the only reason I know this is because I heard it on our ceremony video!

This is how we’re doing it: No kids at the wedding.

I really like your suggestion of the ushers letting them know, but maybe they could also mention the best way to leave should their child become antsy/upset. I think I’ll mention that to my ushers as well! Best of luck 🙂
