Depends on the interview. Probably a skirt though. I think it is just a tad more conservative than wearing pants.

I like to wear a skirt, only because I feel more like a lady.  I feel like I look manly wearing a pant suit haha.

I would probably feel more polished in a skirt suit but I just got done writing in the pantyhose post that pant suits are more comfortable so that’s what I wear.

I think I read somewhere that women in pantsuits subconsciously come off as more authoritative and give off a slightly better go-getter vibe.

I always wear a skirt and hose as I feel more confident in them (and, know I have nice legs).

I alternate depending on my mood for the day. I like them both equally.

Pantsuits all the way.  I’m more comfortable, more relaxed, and feel more confident.

Personally, I am more comfortable in pants than a skirt and so I wear pants. I think they are both professional, but it is just what you are comfortable in and will help you to be calm, confident and collected at your interview.

I work in a very conservative field (the legal field is still very conservative).  Although I wear pant suits almost all the time to work, I would say I have probably never interviewed in anything but a skirt suit for a legal position.  I may have worn a pant suit to some of the retail job interviews I had before I went to law school, I can’t remember, but I feel like I probably didn’t wear skirts to those.  And, I’ve always been told – hose with the skirt.

Oh, and CLOSED-TOED shoes.  Never, ever wear open or peep toe, especially if you’re wearing hose!  It’s unprofessional AND a fashion faux pas (did I spell that right?).

I just wore pants to an interview for a corporate job and I got the position. It depends on the suit I guess and which looks more professional/tailored.

I think either are fine.  I tend to wear skirt suits to almost everything, since it’s easier for me to purchase skirt suits.  I’m quite tall and have very long legs.

ETA: I work in a fairly “conservative” environment as well.  Finance/banking.

I work in a very conservative industry so I wear skirt suits, I prefer how they look anyway.

I think both are equally appropriate for interviews with all but the most conservative employers.  I have only been on one interview where I felt it was imperative to wear a skirt suit.

Pantsuit for 1st interview.  If I make it or need a 2nd, then I will wear a skirt.
