@BlondeMissMolly:  Not sure why I’m being asked. That’s what I thought, too. I know you can’t do that here in TX.

It depends. If Fiance is going away for work, then I go in with him and stay until security, but that’s because his work pays for parking. Well actually if Fiance needed they’d pay for a cab, or for him to park his car at the airport for the entire time he’s away. Anyone else and I usually drop and go. Fiance has never gone on vacation without me so not sure what I would do in that situation, probably drop and go.

Picking up I go in 99% of the time, but back when my dad used to travel a lot for work, we’d sit in a nearby coffee shop, or even in the car in a nearby parking lot if the weather allowed, and once Dad called to say he had his luggage and was ready to be picked up, then we’d go get him at the door.

Unless it’s my husband or my mom, I just drop them off at the curb (after helping get the luggge out of the vehicle). If it’s Darling Husband or mom, I park and see them through the luggage check-in, printing boarding pass process and leave once they are about to get ready to get in line for security. I do this only because these are the only two people who can bring a tear out of me when I see them leave! I want to get that one last hug or kiss. They are the only 2 people who I truly miss when they are not around, even for a few days.

The only person I go inside for is my husband. But this is probably because we have done long distance most of our relationship, and when I am dropping him off at the airport, I won’t see him for a month to several months.

When I was heading back to the USA and me and Fiance would be in a LDR for a year, we lingered in that lobby for way too long! The security guards eventually felt bad that I was crying and let him come past security with me. I don’t do much domestic flying…just flying in between the Middle East and USA, so curbside goodbyes don’t do it anymore! Or maybe I’m too emotional for the airport goodbye.
