Spinoff from the thread asking how much you spend on your SO – what are you getting him or her for Christmas this year (or whatever holiday you’re celebrating)?
I haven’t decided what to get my hubby yet, so I’m hoping for some great ideas! 😀

A painting and a winter beanie. Last Xmas I made him a painting of the NYC skyline (we wandered along the Hudson and East Rivers a bunch when we first started dating) and this year I’m going to do one of a sunset in Nicaragua (where we went on our first vacation together). His winter hat is looking a little ragged so I’ll be getting him a replacement.

I am undecided as well, but have asked!
He was looking at a new hunting backpack this week when he got back from a hunting trip… so that may be it. Or, throwing some money towards the autostrart he wants to put in his new vehicle since that is going to be spendy.

We will be taking a cruise this year for Christmas so we decided we would just get each other something small. There is a series of Starbucks mugs that he wishes he would have gotten when they were sold in stores many years ago (The Architecht series I believe?) and he really wanted a collection of all the places he has lived (he moved a lot when he was active in the military), but when he found out how much some of them can go for these days he changed his mind about his collection. I have sneakily been buying them up on Ebay and so this Christmas he will get the Tuscon, AZ one. 🙂

I am getting him boudoir pictures of myself. In fact my digital copy of pictures came in the mail today, unfortunately I won’t be able to view the final product until later this afternoon when am on my break (I work from home and yeah lol not going to use the work computer to view those)

I am doing 12 days of Christmas. So far I have bought 9 of those gifts I just have to figure out which days he’s going to get what. But so far I have:
1) aftershave 2)beard oil 3) socks – I meant to buy 2 pairs but ended up with 6. Haha. 4) a hatchet for camping 5) a hiking map of the Sierra Nevadas, 6) a hiking book, 7) candy from when England where he grew up 8) a silly card game 9) adult coloring book. – I have a few ideas as to what I will give him for the last three.
So far this idea is working out pretty well since I’m not spending a ridiculous amount. I was afraid I was going to go overboard.

Ahh I love this! I did boudoir photos for our wedding, and he loved them. I was in the same boat – got the link to the photos on my photographer’s website while I was at work. I couldn’t wait and I went to the parking lot and sneaked a peak at them on my phone! 🙂
Oooo these are all really good ideas. DH loves to hike so I may steal a few of these! P.S. Love your username.
A painting – that’s really special! I wish I was talented enough to make something like that!
Cool! What’s an autostart?
I’ve never heard of the Architect series! It’s awesome that you’re able to do something so personal, tying back to his childhood. That’s the kind of gift I like – something personal that I don’t have to make (I’m not very crafty…).

- Wedding: July 2012 - The Gables Inn, Santa Rosa, CA
Autostart is a remote control so you can turn your car on from the inside and let it warm up before you have to go outside – they’re awesome and I want one!!!
I’m doing a 12 days of christmas theme for my husband, so I got him 11 little gifts (like socks, a comic book, wine bottle stoppers, etc.) and 1 large gift which is a fancy new knife he’s been wanting. We aren’t going home for the holidays this year, so he’s really the only person I’ve had to shop for so it’s been fun getting to pick out lots of small stuff instead of just one larger item!

I could really use this. My Fiance never wants anything but insist that he want to exchange presents. If he wants something he just buys it. Nothing to buy out of idea. If I ask him what he want he says just you. Which is sweet but unhelpful.

I’m getting him a heart shaped made of 3 maps that are important to us from Etsy, pjs, a new razor, tools, and Yankees ear buds

It’s a system put into your car so you can start you car by remote, and not have to be in the car to start it. It’s great for winter, as you can start your car while you’re inside and it’s warm when you get in. He bought a new vehicle in June, and can get a program that is connected to an app… so he can start his car with his phone!

His birthday was yesterday, so I have to coordinate the birthday and christmas presents. I was supposed to get him the microsoft surface pro for his birthday but there was a issue buying it in time for yesterday…so i will get it tomorrow (we were both busy for yesterday so we only went out for a late dinner).
I did get him a a new smart car charger/locator that i found on indigogo yesterday..really cool stuff.
So for christmas:
a new leather bag
a new leather wallet
a 1tb pocket hard drive for his surface tablet
and a few small things like whisky tumblers and stones, with a nice bottle of the stuff
edit: I do like the sounds of the autostart …we both really want that.

We weren’t supposed to be doing gifts this year butttt, somehow we are. We haven’t in a couple years though, so it will be fun. I got him DVD/blu-Ray combo set of Star Wars I-III. We already have IV-VI. I also got him some Star Wars Legos- he’s really wanted legos since the new store opened in our local mall. And I’m giving him Lord of the Rings “coupons”- I’m promising to watch all the movies with him and keep an open mind. They’re his favorite movies and I’ve never been able to get through them. So boring. But he wants me to like it so bad.

I am getting him a couple of sweaters and a pair of sunglasses. He needs all of those things and since we’re planning a wedding and have no budget for necessities as well as fun things, his presents will be things he needs!

Some PS4 games. He is literally the hardest person on earth to shop for (doesn’t have any specific hobbies or material things he’s into, only likes buying clothes he can try on first, the list goes on and on). BUT he just got a PS4 for work (yes, for work lol) and is almost done playing the game that was bundled with it, so I figured I would get him a few to move on to next.
