This is our third Christmas together, our second since we got engaged & our last before we get married! We set a budget of $100 each, although I’m being kinda naughty and getting a “To C & C from Santa” present!
I’m getting him
- headphones (which he requested)
- an iphone holder for the car air conditioner grille so he can use the GPS on his phone
- and a Despicable Me 2 Minion action toy 😛 The last one is kinda random, but we are slightly obsessed with minions 😛 bahahahahaha
Our “Santa” present (which I am using advertising money from my site for so it doesn’t come out of our joint account) is a 50×100 cm canvas of a sunset photo I took the night we got engaged… we’ve been talking about it for the 15 months since we got engaged but hadn’t got around to it. Got it through a group buy site so it was pretty site!

@goingtotherooftopoflove: very nice!!! He will have an awesome Christmas! I bought our plane tickets to Colorado (800 bucks!!! :-/) I am 99.9% sure he’s going to propose, so it is going to be a worthwhile trip!!! I’m pretty sure my present is a ring!!

I bought my Fi an LV belt. I got a ring this year. He’s been a very good boy.

I know it is far from romantic, but I am getting my Fiance a giftcard to Sears. He absolutely loves Sears and he looooves getting to pick out his own tools, and he is so particular that I wouldn’t even know where to start. So, the gift card gives him an excuse to get some things he wouldn’t normally get for himself.

A sodamaker. He loves bubbly water and gadgets. I might get him something else, too.

Mine wants a juicer and some shampoo that is supposed to slow down a receding hairline…. Bahahahaha! Really? No. Ask yer mom honey. What to get him??? I just bought him a 55″ TV as his mangagement present. I’m thinking about buying him some really nice sunglasses and order the hair care stuff he wants off of Amazon delivered to his house – not a Christmas gift. Any ideas out there Bees?

Well I was supposed to get him a gaming console that plays a bunch of older video games from different systems but its release was just delayed…so he says he’s gonna wait till march or whenever it is for his present!!

As far as I know, we will not be exchanging gifts this year, with the possible exception of Christmas pajamas for me. (That is a tradition that Darling Husband has had for his kids for many years, and I usually order a pair for myself if I can find ones that I like.)
This will be our fifth Christmas as a married couple, but, due to our financial situation for the majority of that time (I had to quit my high-paying job in a major city in another state when I relocated here full time about ten months after we married), we often do not exchange Christmas and birthday gifts. Darling Husband does usually receive a Christmas bonus, which we use to purchase presents for his four children, SIL, and DIL as well as our little granddaughter. Last year, however, we decided to buy ourselves a Keurig, so that was a great gift!

- Wedding: April 2013 - A court...
Ha ha who doesn’t love those little guys! So cute! Anyways I’m not 100 percent but, a cute jacket, comic books, a wallet & maybe a perfume or a lapis lazuli bracelet. His b day is in early January so I’m trying to decide what to get him for Christmas vs his bday 🙂

I went a little over board this year. We’re so far away from our family, and we pretty much only get gifts from each other so I buy him a lot. But this year I may have gotten him too much! Under our tree this year will be-
-A bar cart, with new barware (12 glasses total), a new cocktail set, whiskey ice stones, two books on bar tending/beer making and a make your own beer set.
-A Guinness t-shirt, pint glass and magnet
-Two beebee guns for us to play with next spring
-A new controller and headset for his X-Box One
-gift cards for clothing.
-A book about his favourite artist.
I’m actually really excited to start wrapping things this week. I love giving gifts though, so I tend to over do it.

@atreyu547: Ugh I feel sorry for people with early Dec/Jan birthdays… and for the ones buying from them! We’re lucky in that our bdays are only 6 weeks apart, right in the middle of the year 😉 (I’m his “cougar”!!!! lol). You have some good ideas though 🙂

Don’t know about you guys but I love giving as much as I love receiving!
Oh, I forgot the most awesome thing at all! We started a new tradition last year, I bought and decorated a Christmas stocking for each of us. We go to the dollar store, have 5 minutes to spend $10 and run around like crazy people getting stocking stuffers for each other 😛 Queue a lot of fun on Christmas morning. We’ve done the same thing this year 🙂
Last year I got FH one of those velcro ball sets that I had as a kid, so we went out to our (shared) driveway in our PYJAMAS to play with it! lol.

My Fiance usually buys what he wants for himself, so he can be very hard to shop for! So this year I did something different. I got him a little ‘happy’ gift: a genuine leather strap for his guitar, and his big gift is an envelope full of money to be used for clothes and shoes. So he can get exactly what he wants in what size he wants.

@goingtotherooftopoflove: I bought him tickets to see his favorite band play in February. His sister split the cost with me.

@atreyu547: Those sound great! People with holiday birthdays can be a challenge to shop for.
