I def agree with the reheat in the oven vs microwave, and use ALL leftovers somehow.
I dry out all unused bread in the oven 1 or 2 days before expiry and make breadcrumbs out of it. Also when you buy large packs of chicken on sale etc cook it all and then freeze. That way when you pull it out you can basically do anything with it and have a quick meal!

I sing the praises of vinegar as well. An open bowl of vinegar will help pull out room odors.
My mom taught me this trick for large weekend gatherings. To feed everyone breakfast, assemble an ‘omlet bar.’ Give each person a ziploc bag. Crack 2 eggs into it and shake them up. Let each person go through the line and put in cheese, peppers, ham, etc, anything they want into their bag. Get all the air out and seal them up. Pop them in a pot of boiling water for 13 minutes. Use tongs to take them out, pop the bag open and roll out a perfect omlet. You can make 6-8 in one pot, so if you’ve got 2 or 3 pots of water going, you can feed the whole crew breakfast at once. *maybe there could be a plastic/heat issue, but if I eat these 2x a year, I’ll take the risk.
This thead also makes me want a Roomba way more than Mr.ND wants an Oreck. Maybe our registry will magically change 😉

I did too!
I sprinkle baking soda on my carpets about an hour before I vaccuum. Then, when I do vaccuum it up, the odors go with it! I do this every other time I vaccuum. Be sure to rinse your filters more often when you do this, though.
For those of you with leather couches, remember to condition them regularly to keep the leather supple. Extends the life of the piece by a lot, becaus esupple leather resist cracking, fading, and tears, much better than leather that hasn’t been treated. I use mink oil, but you can buy cloths with conditioners at walmart.
