@MissPine:  Best holiday i’ve ever been on was with my Fiance to Hawaii.. Love that place! Will definitely go back. The weather was perfect the whole time and it just felt super chilled and relaxing.

(I noticed a lot of people commenting on traffic – I didn’t notice anything bad about it but where I live has horrendous traffic and peak hour essentially lasts all day and continues on the weekend so maybe that’s why!)

Diamond Head, Pearl Harbor, beaches (I went to Waikiki, and I didn’t think it was anymore crowded than other beaches I’ve gone to), snorkeling, volcanos, beautiful sunsets, expensive as shit, and crazy hula dancers (She had to have been high on something.) Talking about it makes me excited to go to other islands this summer!

Expensive – expensive to get there (we’ve flown to Europe for far less than we’ve ever paid to go to Hawaii). Expensive to stay there. Expensive to buy anything there.

Touristy, but varies depending on the island

adventurous activities

friendly people – at least they’ve always been friendly to us…

-Merrie Monarch <3 and hula dancing in general, of course.
-friendly people!
-gorgeous landscapes, I love how all the islands are so different. I island hopped the Big Island, Oahu, Kauai and Maui last year and I can’t wait to go back.
-L&L bbq. Lol
-beautiful flowers. Plumerias and pikake are my favourites.

Tropical, good weather, flash rainstorms (which I think are fun), hula, resort wear, lush vegetation, and sadly, crime (b/c of Dog the Bounty Hunter).

@MissPine:  Ferns/palm trees, Japanese immigrants/residents, high cost of living, pretty surroundings. Darling Husband and I are thinking about moving there in a maybe 6-8 years after he gets his MA and once we can pass a Japanese level N2 test. (High level fluency test.)
