I think it’s pretty self explanatory! I loved reading the Germony thread and I’m a kiwi so thought it would be interesting to hear what stereotypes people have/ associations and if you’ve been here what you thought

AMAZING meat, dairy products + beautiful landscape…ahhh I want to go back right now!! Good wine too!!!
Home 🙂
and beaches.
and pohutukawa trees.
and family.
and summer.
31 days til we head there for our honeymoon!
Sheep! (and unspeakable actions with them, haha), fush and chups, adventure activities & snow, mountains, Motorway Patrol (that show always gives Fiance and I a laugh.), Sav Blanc wines!
I associate New Zealand with the Māori.
@MsChandler: Sheep!
More seriously: beautiful countryside, and friendly people with strange accents. I expect it’s like here but colder.
The host from The Amazing Race…haha! Phil (can’t remember his last name).
@StephieBee: You said it right before I could! Totally Lord of the Rings. Did you see the Lord of the Rings themed airline commercial to attract tourists?
I thought that was the only place in the world that you could get a kiwi, when I was a kid. The Maori people & cricket and Rachael Hunter. I have never been there, but i only know about the Maori because for a while I had NZ on a news feed.
@aussiemum1248: Weirdly enough I find it so much different to Aus! I think our humour is quite different? I’ve got so many family and friends who have gone over to Aus though
@Lollybags: Same! Motorway Patrol is hilarious. Watching them compared to the American versions makes me laugh!
Eeeh this is fun! I figured sheep and scenary would be a big one!
Amazing food & produce, amazing arts (traditional and modern), fashion and culture, amazing landscapes and cities.
