Great coworkers and bosses.

I get to be outside 3-4 days a week, 6 months a year.  (I’m a wildlife biologist.)

I get some downtime in the winter to plan my wedding while on the clock!  Haha.

My job description includes riding an ATV, flying in a little tiny twin-prop plane, driving across the gorgeous Rocky Mountain West, watching nesting raptors and displaying grouse, and seeing some amazing sunrises and sunsets.  Not bad at all.

My Boss: he is understanding, flexible, and great at managing our group of 16 corporate staff and 90+ field employees. Also, while we don’t fraternize outside of work, we have a close personal relationship.

My Special Projects: I am the person who always gets asked to handle the random, wacky issues that come up and I really enjoy the challenge of solving a complex problem in a creative, yet streamlined way.

I’m not fully-qualified just yet so am actively looking for my first teaching job. However on my placements the one thing that I realised I love most about teaching is that there is something every day that will make me laugh. Without fail. The kids are brilliant ๐Ÿ™‚

I work at a small start-up software company.  I love having a lot of control over my tasks and being able to set my own rules and schedule.  I also love being able to come up with an idea and implement it without going through a lot of red tape.

I like the balance of autonomy and support.  I’m at a different location than my boss, so it would be so easy to feel out on a limb all by myself, but I have a fabulous manager who calls to check on things and is highly responsive to my calls and e-mails as well.

I like that I get to work in an office of only 9 people and luckily only 2 other women who I get along great with so there is never any office drama. Also the company I work for treats there employees really well and we are given ample paid sick days and vacation days

I also love that I can come on the Bee during work hours when I need a little break from working ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s super flexible, and the company gives me tuition assistance for my Master’s program.

Flexible hours and my job is very intellectually challenging and probably always will be. I love my coworkers but I’ll be leaving in a few months and working with just a few people, so hopefully I will like them too!

I love my job because of 1. The enviroment is so pleasent. I am in the salon business as a hair stylist and beleive me some salons the people are so either, rude,or feel like you are stepping on their toes that they just act horrible.  So having an enviroment that is pleasent is fantastic. Its a special thing whenever everyone is in a great mood everyday and it just makes work that much better.

I also love how I can make my own schedule, and how laid back it is. If i need to go to the store, doctor, vacation etc..I don’t have to worry. I just block myself off and it’s no problem! That’s always a perk ๐Ÿ™‚

I only work 4 hour days during the school year, and spend summer working on the beach. I also have a rent free apartment. I will miss this job. (Posted while “working”)

The people are great, and my supervisor is incredibly understanding about me having to miss a lot of work due to my health issues.

Even though it is a casual job, I am working in the industry I want to be in for my career – finance/accounting.
