I’m a wino.

Layer Cake – Primitivo

The Prisoner – FABULOUS blend

Stag’s Leap – Pinot Noir & Petite Sirah

Kim Crawford – Sauv Blanc

Cloudy Bay – Sauv Blanc

(I stick to the Sauv Blancs out of the Marlborough, NZ region – hate California Sauv Blancs)

I belong to several wine clubs from various California wineries so I usually have some bottles in my wine fridge.

Love this thread!

I’m a Sauv Blanc girl in warmer weather but I’ve definitely moved into reds with the cold. Finishing off a La Crema Pinot Noir right now. A Coppola Claret on deck. SO splurges more than I do–The Prisoner is waiting for this weekend.

Decoy Cab is a fave. We’re fans of anything from the Duckhorn group–Migration, etc. Love the Michael David Rapture but it’s now impossible to find. I look forward to checking out some of PPs suggestions!

Kim Crawford or Oyster Bay Sauv Blanc if I’m drinking white. Red I am not very fussy about but usually prefer something medium-heavy bodied, either a Malbec (Luigi Bosca is good) or a Cab Sauv. Trying new wines is one of my favourite pass-times 🙂 And I’m going to toss a recommendation for an app out here – try Vivino! It lets you scan the label and see ratings, reviews, tasting notes… good for us winos

I love La Petite Perriere Sauv. Blanc.

Fiance loves Marchionne Crignolino, but I think it tastes like feet.

Annie’s Lane Shiraz from the Clare Valley,  South  Australia.

And right now in South Australia, the sun , if not yet over, is coming  up to the yardarm…..

olivejd:  Bonterra Zinfandel for red or their Chardonnay is really good too. I know it’s from California but I don’t know if they have a known name in U.S. Sometimes exports do better! I’m U.K.

Perhaps one of you wonderful, wine-loving ladies could help me. My boyfriend does not like wine, at all (or beer, only likes Whiskey lol). The only exception is Wiederkehr Red Wine. I was wondering if anyone here had experience with any of their wine. Thank you for your time, and simply reading this.
