@ChocolateLime:  Ha ha. They’re buttermilk biscuits. They’re soft. And it has a sausage gravy.

* Looks around to make sure no one listening then whispers*
Chocolate OD
Chocolate-chip cookie dough on bottom of a 9 X 13 pan
Oreos arranged on top of the dough.
Brownie batter poured over the top.
Bake until brownies are done. Add ice cream and whipped cream to serve.

Luckily I can survive most of the time without this wickedness. Yeah me, Miss no-GMO organic lady. I am so ashamed.

A hearty beef dish (stew or roast) always makes me feel like I’m home. Ice cream if I want something sweet and comforting.

Tortillas with sour cream and avocado; mac and cheese; almost any form of pasta or risotto; pork belly; wedges with bacon, cheese, sour cream and sweet chili sauce; minted roast lamb; or chicken coconut curry with rice.

@Soon2BD-CBee:  This is kind of off topic, what what is Weetabix? This summer I was staying at a hostel in Bath, and there were packages of Weetabix out with the cereal and toast for breakfast. I thought, “Awesome! Granola bars! I can stash these in my purse for a free snack later!” Well, later when I opened one for my snack it was so dry and flakey that it stuck in my mouth and I had to chug a bottle of water to unstick it from the inside of my mouth! You eat it hot? Are they supposed to be microwaved? Or boiled? I am baffled by these Weetabix thingies!

For me my comfort food would have to be rice and beans, or tacos (double corn tortilla with asada, cilantro, salsa, and lime). Enchiladas, too. I used to make big batches of enchiladas when I was homesick.

@Pepperwoodsy:  they are a breakfast cereal, you have them with milk. In the winter I love them hot with milk. I microwave them, it’s never hurt me but I’m not sure if you’re supposed to. Sometimes just to be different, I top them with yoghurt & fruit, it’s my summer breakfast.

My best friend who is Mexican doesn’t ‘get it’ either. She puts swiss cheese on hers & eats it dry like a cracker…as a UK’er I was mortified.

@SydneyJen:  I know right. Bless her she was all like try it so I said “nooo love, that’s proper rank!.  Never in my life have seen such a food faux pas. Fiance was also unimpressed because his breakfast had been nicked. Haha! I shall rename it “cheese gate”.

Pasta with parmesean and butter

White rice with butter and soy sauce

Are my two most ‘comforting’ comfort foods.

Carnitas tacos are some of my favorite food, period.
