I know there have been threads asking if you sleep with your rings on, but I wondered where you put them at night if you don’t? And when do you put them back on? Right before you leave the house, as soon as you wake up, or other?
I never used to take any of my jewelry off for bed, or really anything unless my hands would get wet (I hate moisture under my rings). When I got my engagement ring, I decided I better not sleep in it, because I’m terrified of losing a stone or bending a prong in my sleep…and have only forgotten to take it off once. I keep mine inside a votive holder (with no candle, for obvious reasons) next to my bed. I was terrified my cat would lose them if I put them on the nightstand, which is why I put them in the little cup (not like he couldn’t knock that over, but it feels safer somehow LOL). I am terribly forgetful so I got in the habit of putting them on before I even sat up in bed. My Fiance laughs at me, and this morning I realized how funny this habit actually is…see I have to wake up at like 4:00 in the morning to drive him to work (his car has been broken for a few weeks) and I immediately put them on, and then when I get home 20 minutes later I take them off and put them back in the dish. It seems silly to wear them for 20 minutes, but if I get out of the habit of putting them on immediately, I’ll forget them!

I wear my rings 24/7. I don’t take them off when I’m sleeping, I wear them in the shower, I wear them during chores. The only time I might take them off is when I’m golfing.
I should probably take off my engagement ring at least when I’m sleeping. The prongs stick up quite a bit and my husband gets annoyed when it scratches him. I told him it’s his fault for buying it for me 🙂

When hubby got his wedding band, the jewelry store was kind enough to offer us a 2-ring box so we could keep his band and my band in the same box on our wedding day (even though we didn’t buy my band from that store). Even since then though, I’ve used that ring box to hold both my engagement and wedding ring at night on top of the dresses. Hubby puts his in a watch box on his night stand.

If I remembered, I’d put it in it’s box in the closet. My daughter would lose it otherwise.

We have a ring dish upstairs and downstairs. Typically we walk in the house and immediately put them in the downstairs ring dish. The ring dish upstairs is a back-up in case I don’t follow my usual routine. I put my rings on right before I walk out the door.

I only take it off in the shower or doing dishes. I sleep with them on.

I never take mine off. It stays on my finger…unless I”m kneading bread or baking….otherwise it’s where IMO it belongs…which is on my finger.

When I am not wearing them, my rings hang out in a small pottery dish that sits on my bedside table. I have small dishes at every sink in the house to hold our rings when we wash out hands, too. I usually put them on as my final step in getting ready for the day. So on a day like today, when I don’t plan to get out of my PJs, I may never even put them on.

I take mine off as soon as I get home from work due to starting dinner, washing dishes etc. and place them in this small jewelry box sitting on my sofa table. They are the last thing I put on going out the door. It has a anti-tarnish lining.

We registered for (and received) a crystal ringholder from Macy’s. I put my rings there at night before I get ready for bed, and I don’t put them back on in the AM until I’ve done my hair and makeup.

@mrsbruff2b: Same.
I wear mine overnight. When I take it off to shower it goes back in the ringbox for safe keeping.

I leave my ring on my night stand when I go to bed. I put it on right before I leave for work. If I’m not going to work, I put it on whenever I remember!

My rings go in their original box when I get home from work. I put them on in the am when I’m done getting ready, if i remember… unlike this morning. My finger feels naked. 🙁 I only wear them when I’m going out of the house.
