After working in the event, restaurant and hospitality industry within the wine country I’ve met my fair share of people:
- Adam Sandler
- Diane Keaton
- Robert Redford
- Jessie James and Sandra Bullock (talk about adorable those two, so sad!)
- Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott,
- Zoe Saldana (pre-Avatar)
- Mark McGuire (pre-Steroid incident)
- LeAnn Rimes (what a beeeee-yotch!)
- Mark-Paul Gosselaar
- Jason Priestly
- VS Angels: Adriana Lima, Selita Ebanks, Alessandra Ambrosio (and a few others I don’t remember from 2006).
- George Lucas (at a local Best Buy store)
- Trisha Yearwood (but sadly didn’t get to meet Garth Brooks which was the whole point)
- Kimberly Locke (think American Idol)
- Bret Michaels
- Cydi Lauper
- Danny DeVito and Rita Pearlman
- Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad)
- Peter Coyote
I am sure there are more that I can’t remember at the moment.

Stephan Jenkins and the rest of Third Eye Blind (10+ times – I was/am a serious groupie)
Puddle of Mud
Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
Kareem Abdul Jabar
Meg Ryan (I sat next to her at The Lion King for 3 hours! I couldn’t pay attention I was so excited)
Constantine from American Idol
George Bush, Sr. (I went to school with his granddaughter and went to all of her birthday parties at her house down the street)
Good Charlotte (before they were famous they held small concerts at their apartment down the street from our high school and used to invite a bunch of people over to listen)
My FH is also best friends with Owen Schmitt who currently plays for the Eagles. It’s funny to think of him as being considered a “celebrity” but a lot of people seem to think so!

The guy who works at the museum and hands out the cards with the people’s information on it? He still works there. Very sweet man.

Ha, she seems to be one of those city celebrities everyone sees while living in NYC. I’ve seen her at a bar, and Fiance said one time a friend of his was at a bar for her birthday, and Julia Stiles was there too. Apparently, Julia Stiles kept getting free drinks because she was famous, but passed them off to FI’s friend. Thus, Julia Stiles got the girl WASTED for her birthday, for free.
I think the only celebrity I’ve properly met is Al Franken (my ex worked for his Minnesota governor campaign). Oh, and I babysat for one of the authors of The Nanny Diaries… how’s that for ironic! I also met Paris Bennett from American Idol.
As for celebrities I’ve randomly seen:
Alicia Keys (she wears a LOT of makeup…), Julianne Moore, Julia Stiles (of course), Heather Graham (she’s surprisingly short!), Cole Haahn, Topher Grace, Eugene Levy, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Blake Lively and Penn Badgley, and Anthony Rapp. The funny part about Anthony Rapp, is I was standing in front of him in a crowded subway, reading a novel by his brother. Strange coincidence…

I met Tim Mcgraw and Faith Hill. I didn’t recognize them at all. I just struck up a random conversation with them while standing in line (something I often do with strangers) and they had to tell me who they were. Rather embarrassing but at least they were not offended. My life was always to busy to watch tv or listen to music so I was rather clueless.

Oh, yeah, I’ve also met Amy Dickinson (advice columnist/author) quite a few times. I’m not a fan.

I forgot Morgan Freeman, Colin Powell, and Ashley Judd.
