My dad did.  I’ve always been a daddy’s girl, so it was a very special and sweet moment for me.

Other- Best male friend who is basically a brother to me. He helped me and my fiancé when we were homeless and was always supportive of us like family. It may sound awkward to have a best male friend walk me down the aisle but I am not close to my father at all, and it is basically walking on eggshells with my alcoholic mother. I still haven’t decided if she will be there or not. :-/

I’m walking myself down the aisle.   My dad passed last February.   I asked my daughters to walk me down but they want to be flower girl and ring bearer.   They will be 6 & 7 at the time of the wedding.

My father, though we’ve changed the ceremony wording so that he isn’t “giving me away”. I’m very close with my dad so it was very important to me.

We’re not doing a full, traditional ceremony, so I don’t think we’ll have the part where the bride walks down the aisle for everyone to watch. If we did, though, my dad would probably walk me down the aisle.

My dad did. He cried pretty much the whole way down. It was sweet. I could never imagine it any other way, I’m his only daughter so it meant a lot.

my father. I thought of having my mom walk down too but tradition in our family is just the father and it’s a very special moment for him.  I liekd it that way.

My dad passed away suddenly a couple months before my wedding.  My brother ended up stepping up and walking me down the aisle, which was amazing considering how much he hates being in front of a crowd.  It was really the only choice; asking my stepdad, although he’s a great guy, would’ve been too much of a blow to my dad’s parents, too much like a flat out attempt at “replacement”.  My brother doing it was the best compromise; if he hadn’t wanted to, I would’ve simply walked by myself.
