Fun fun!!  Okay!– I was crushing on dying this dress blush pink but not im on the fence of having it pale ice blue!!! Also I’m totally in love with naked strawberry cakes! This one looks delicious to me but maybe try to make it more stable and less sliding on beds of Nutella !!! Heheheeeee!

And this is the dress– but I want it in this blue color!

But I still might go blush! I don’t know. My cousin who is getting married this year— actually already had her courthouse wedding, is planning a June wedding in a big white gown is also having a third wedding ovee seas for her immediate family who can not attend the American party—well she said for her third party she will have a blush pink gown!! I was like oh!!!! And thought maybe I should go blue. But I’ve always been a pink girl— we shall see!!!

stephncollins:  lol, yeah. My 4 are each from a different part of my life too. Maid/Matron of Honor (26) is my BFF of 15+ years. Bridesmaid or Best Man1 is my Future Sister-In-Law (22), Bridesmaid or Best Man2 is FI’s friend (30) and Bridesmaid or Best Man3 is the girl I babysat for 3 years (she’s the soon-to-be 11-year-old). It was a challenge, hence 4 different dresses.

Though I did post on one of the other threads, I like that this one is more positive in general. We are thinking of having a photobooth, and the wedding dress is white.

We’re doing a dessert table with mini apple pies, lemon meringues, nanaimo bars and brownies on top of plated dessert.

As well I will be rocking my mermaid down that aisle like Beyoncé!

I have a rose gold ring. I’ve always loved rose gold, had no idea it was trendy when I said I wanted it. I don’t know anybody else, IRL, with rose gold so I don’t even consider it to be trendy.

mink714:  I love the naked cake!  I think we might do that too.

That dress is also lovely.

I dont think we are doing anything trendy. as I said elsewhere I am worried now that it will just be boring.

I like building people up, not tearing them down 🙂

we are doing mismatched (different color) Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, a cupcake cake (because I love cupcakes, dammit!), our colors are very “now” (mint, coral, navy), my dress has a lace back, I have a bridal belt, my shoes are kate spade, we have a photobooth

Yay for trends lol I love this thread.

Me and my halo ring will have:

A rustic-ish venue

A mermaid gown

Cupcakes, instead of cake

Mismatched BM’s (same color though, different styles)

Brightly colored shoes

A large rustic looking bouquet

Chalkboards (mostly functional as well – just one or two cutesy ones 🙂 )

stephncollins:  I like this thread. Wedding bee has been HARSHING MY BUZZ lately on a variety of fronts. I feel like posters are being way more snobby and pretentious than before? Anyway, my “trendy” wedding items will include:

My colored dress (although depending on the board you look at, that’s eaither “trendy” or “will stand the test of time”.

We will be using chalkboard signs because, as a PP said, how else am I supposed to convey certain information to guests so prettily? Food for buffet, timing.

Our dogs will be in the wedding. I don’t know if this is a “trend” but it was never even a question for us.

We’re having mini bundt cakes as  our cake, so kind of like cupcakes.

That’s all I can think of for now, but I’m sure there will be more! Oh, I’m also contemplating a floral crown.

Rusitc blush/gold wedding with mismatched groomsmen wearing vests. Kind of “basic” but it’s what I like! I’ll also have koozie favors, a photobooth, marquee letters, and probably some marquee signage. 🙂

I posted earlier on this about my “rustic country” wedding and just saw the other thread with some people hating on when grooms don’t wear coats.  My guys are wearing grey pants with matching vests and shirt sleeves rolled up.  I’m getting married June 20th outside, I don’t want them sweating and looking miserable… Which I’ve seen several times at weddings I have attended.  Not to mention my fiancé is the most casual guy I know and a full tux just wouldn’t be him.

I am also 100% doing an unplugged ceremony. I have seen way too many ruined pictures/moments and I would rather avoid it altogether.

I love this thead!!

Like I said in the other:  I am doing what makes me happy.  Anything that is done now will look dated in 20 yrs.  There is no “timeless” look.  Plus who is going to remember all of the details other then you (and hopefully your Darling Husband, but realistically you!!) We are doing Mismatched bridesmaids dresses, vests for the guys, cupcakes, shabby chic decor–old windows, baby’s breath, etc, and having it at a winery.

I like this thread better too. I don’t understand all the hate for “Pinterest” weddings! Pinterest has been awesome for wedding planning so far. Obviously I’m not going to use any ideas that don’t fit us as a couple, but who the eff cares if I find some ideas on Pinterest that I’m not creative enough to dream up on my own? Jeez. Here are the “trends” I will proudly have in my wedding because I LIKE them:

Strapless mermaid dress

Halo e-ring

“Vintage” themed reception with gold mercury glass decor

Mint Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses

Succulents in my flower arrangements

“Thank you” picture with “trendy” signs

“Pick a seat, not a side” sign, probably in a “cutesy” phrase so my guests don’t think I’m ordering them around. It might even be a chalkboard because that’s damn convenient. The horror!

Yay positivity! Let’s see what we’ve got going on…

*Strapless gown! I might wear a faux fur wrap as the ceremony will be outside in January, but I LOVE my gown as it is. Mostly I need to focus on toning my arms so I won’t ruin it!

*Birdcage card holder. Technically we’re not sure yet if we’ll be able to do this, but I love the idea and I’m really hoping we’ll be able to.

*Groomsmen without coats. Not sure yet if Fiance will wear one, he might to look different from his guys, but we’re pretty sure they’ll go without.

*Brooch/ribbon roses bouqet. I really want something I can keep afterward and sometime a little on the dainter/smaller side since my dress will probably already be a bit overwhelming and I don’t want the bouquet to push it to an OTT look.

*A theme!!! Themes seem to get SO much hate, but whatever. We’ll have a gorgeous fairytale theme and it’s going to be amazing.

*I’ll be having two dresses, one for the wedding itself and one for first look photos, and the first look dress will be tea length and lacy which seems to be pretty trendy from what I’ve seen.

*Teacups! We’re not having an antique theme persay, but we both love the whimsical sweetness of teacups so we’re hoping to adorn each person’s setting with one.
